I'm sure he's smart enough to hire the same attorney that represented Thomas E Woodrum, our former Chief Tax Deputy. Micah Feltner will never be arrested and taken into custody. His case will never go through the grand jury process. He will negotiate a plea and the case will go as an "information" to a judge sometime around January 2011. Some impotent prosecuting attorney will not seek any severe punishment for him. The judge will accept his guilty plea and order him to be evaluated by a probation officer to determine if in lieu of a prison sentence, he can be sentenced to probation. He'll be ordered to repay the money he took. If he goes to prison, his maximum sentence will be only six months because the judge will be aware that he can't repay the money he stole if he's serving a lengthy sentence in prison. Does this all sound familiar?

Hey, where are the checks and balances in this system???? Never give one person that much power and control. Sounds like a lot of people are stealing from the Fayette County citizens. The law needs to prosecute and set an example that the citizens of our county are not going to take letting others waste our hard earned monies.

1, the oak hill fire dept. pays there men CASH, no taxes, that alone is a criminal offense.2. No one from the fire dept has ever told the public I am sorry and will try to do better because Timmy Richardson and Bob begley are stuck up ass holes as everyone in oak hill and the counmty have said, most said good I am glad there in trouble BUT, to make matters worse THE FAYETTE COUNTY LEVY ELECTION WAS DIRTY! The county clerk kelvin Holiday had the election in the paper once, the fayette Tribune which no one reads and it was over a month before the election so, even if you did not forget or did read it in the paper THE FAYETTE COUNTY CLERK KELVIN HOLIDAY had the levy election during a wv state of emergency, the govoner told everyone to stay off the roads and even at that fayette county has a lot of senior citizens who can not get out in cold and terrible roads, this county is soo dirty, and now after thinking our county clerk was honest he is nothing but a common criminal AND THATS THE TRUTH!

It was just like yesterday Micah said to me,how did you let yourself get in such a mess. I was so ashamed of a problem I had years ago. This problem was an addiction (NOT GAMBLING AT THE DOG TRACK)and with help from the lord I recovered. It is just so pathetic that he had bigger issues than me but made me feel so small. I will pray for him!! Fayette County better keep a watchful eye on our elected officials.

What happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?? All are soo quick to judge before you even know the facts...keep in mind the news only reports what is released to them. I for one, do NOT believe he did it.

I for 1 don't know what to think?!?! I will say this knowing there will be some smart answer back. How many police officers do you know that work 2 or 3 places just to get by. Now these are the men and women who we all call on when we need help. Where has the loyalty gone. Do you as a person really think a cop should have to work that much. Just to make a living. They are all tired when the are on duty. Theyrisk their lives everytime they go on a call or do a simple task as pulling someone over. So before you judge Micah think if he was getting what he deserved in the first place there wouldn't even be a reason to think he would have to steal. I hope he didn't do it but if he did I will say Micah we have all made mistakes. Just make it right with yourself and God first the rest will come around.

For God's sake another bleeding heart christian. He stole 375 thousand of our money because he had to work so hard? Forgive me but you are incredibly stupid and I do not normally call anyone stupid.

Just because law enforcement, EMS or Firefighters all struggle to make ends meet at times does not give anybody a right to go steal almost $400,000!!! There is plenty of men and women out there who chose this profession, knew what the salary was and does just fine paying their bills, raising their families, pays for a roof over their heads and at some point, can enjoy a family vacation with their own hard earned money. That is a sorry pathetic excuse if I have ever heard it. How about this, don't live beyond your means. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. Here is the thing. It's not the fact of judging him, good people make poor decisions sometimes, but if you break the law, then by all means, you should pay. It's a terrible thing, but no excuses should be made here. We all are in favor innocent until proven guilty, so even if it wasn't him, who ever did it should not walk away scott free.

To no excuses. Believe me I agree. If he did it yes he should pay. My whole point was exactly what u said. "Good people make bad choices sometimes". I'm in no way making excuses for him. I'm just saying before you judge make sure your own closet is clean!!! And for ol birddog. You are on all these forums talkin trash to everybody. Do you work? I seriously doubt it. Probably a welfare baby!!! I mean really who has time to just sit here and comment on all this stuff all day. Unless you are a lazy bum. And stupid ok that is your opinion. And that is fine but believe me ill not stoop to your level of intelligence and act like a little kid with name calling. I hope you do work but really if topix.com is your life I feel for you. And you know this how? It still has to be proven. He is a good man...no matter what you think, which is totally irrelevant. You listen to the news and form your silly little opinions. You know what everyone else does...what the news has reported, which is not every detail behind this case. And trust me, there are way more details left out! But you would know, right?? NOT.

Your personal feelings clouds your mind. This 'good man' stole 374 thousands taxpayer dollars. The evidence is there. He has resigned. He is going to jail. My 'silly little opinion' is shared by everyone including most of his friends. Of course there are always a few bleeding hearts that will say that he is a 'good man that just made a bad decision'. A few that will say that 'Only God can Judge' but they are wrong. The people and the law can and will judge and hopefully he will spend a few years in jail. No sweeping this under the rug. The people of Oak Hill will not allow it. I will not allow it.

You will not allow it? How funny...And again, I do know more of the facts than most of you people who listen to the news and think you have it all figured out! And my personal feelings to NOT cloud my judgment. Any idea why he resigned? Not because of guilt. I know why. And his friends, well, his TRUE friends do have not and will not turn their back on him. The opinions of most are based strictly on what has been released and what is put in the newspapers and on TV. Unless you are a prosecutor, defense attorney or someone in one of those offices, then all you know is what you hear. But you know what they say....we all are entitled to our own opinions. And you sure do have one on lots of topics on here. Have a nice evening.:)
