It was a accident. Thats why she is drving around freely. Think how bad this is for her. She will never be the same. SO before you start something take the time to think about both families not just one]

Having gone through something like this in the past....hitting a person who was wearing dark clothing at night.....this is certainly a tradegy. I feel for the Heather's family and also the young girl who hit Heather. The driver's life will never be the same. She'll have nightmares for the rest of her life.....so she has been impacted too. Besides the nightmares this girl's family and herself will be subjected to lawsuits for wrongful death and face possible financial ruin.
Granted we live in a society where an eye for an eye is a way of life, lest we forget it was an accident and not intentional. Forgiveness is always an option.

This is an awful tragedy that no one should ever have to go through. For both families. That poor girl was in the road, yes! But mind you, she wasnt hurting anyone else. We all do dangerous things every single day & I remember as a child walking the roads myself. That is a lit area & she was right next to home. Either way, she shouldnt be loooked at as a "criminal", "dumbass", "suicidal" or anything of the sort. I didnt know her personally but dont have to. I also dont know Lindsey personally. Again, dont have to. I cant imagine what she is going through. I also have heard that there have been jokes made about it. "If"...may I repeat "IF" this is true, I find that very disrespectful. This town is indeed corrupt & I feel so bad for the Stith family having to read in the newspaper almost criticising the acts of the young girl in the road. I do know that if it was the other way around & someone else besides this girl, someone "known" in carlisle, more than likely everyone would see a whole different side! I know i would do anything in my power to seek justice for anyone I cared for. They are only doing the very same.

I lived on that road for a few years and you CAN see if someone is walking, that is IF you are paying attention. It doesn't matter why or what time she was walking, the driver should have been paying attention. Accident or not, she needs to face the consequences of her actions. If she has been making jokes about it, then she needs her ass kicked also.

I agree. The family only wants justice. The driver should've been able to see the girl walking. If she wasn't paying attention then she needs to pay the consequences. I also think that she is showing no remorse if she is joking about the matter, therefore needs her ass kicked.

-You're right! People are dogging this girl. "Dangerous or not." How many risk do we all take a day? There also can be some foolish acts on the other end as well. I truly hope this family finds some closure and gets what they're looking for.

This is truly unbelievable. I pray too that the family finds closure. This was a terrible tragedy and for the life of me, I don't know why people are saying that Lindsay has been joking about this. Lindsay is hurting as well, she is young and will have to live with this for the rest of her life. Stop believing everything you hear or read on here. That is just not like Lindsay at all and I do not believe it for a minute. I do know Lindsay and have known her for a very long time and the Lindsay I know would never find any of this funny. I do know that Lindsay is heartbroken over this especially for the little boy that will grow up without his mother. Lindsay grew up without hers and knows what this little lad will miss out on. Stop the accusations and let the police handle this and just because they have ruled this is an accident doesn't mean they are covering up anything.

Actually they see that the chick was wearing dark clothing and walking with the flow of traffic therefore taking no safety measures as a pedestrain that she should have
