Not wearing a helmet
Common story like the ones we read where they are ejected and were not wearing a seatbelt.
Rolled the dice and death won.

Keep riding motorcycles and four wheelers. Makes a lot of sense.

I am also curious as to how many of these solo accidents involve an inexperienced/novice rider.

Please stop printing whether or not the motorcyclist wore a helmet.

It is not illegal to do so.

Many lives would be saved in car accidents if people wore helmets. Heck, many lives would be saved if we wore helmets every second of our lives.

Guy dies riding motorcycle without helmet to protest helmet laws and now this. Dont you people learn?
There is nothing wrong with wearing a helmet. Absolutely nothing. Harley idiots will go spend 30k on a ugly hog then not spend $300 for a helmet.

Here we go again. The other day at the "no helmet" biker protest in New York, a man died after flipping off his motorcycle, and now this in Ohio. When will they ever learn that the helmet is a safety device that will keep you alive?

They should ban motorcycles, they are more dangerous than throwing candy at a parade.

If they don't print it, then the entire discussion here will be speculating about whether or not he wore one.

Riding a motorcycle is a personal choice. Maybe it's risky behavior to some, but the law should not enter into it. If the rider choses not to wear a helmet, that should be his/her business.

I don't ride motorcycles, but do skydive. I never wear a parachute, they're much too restrictive.

According to the CDC and Brain Injury Association of America, there are 16,000 TBI's suffered by motorcyclists every year! Yeah, when will they learn?

Oh, wait... CDC/BIAA say there are over 200,000 TBI's for car drivers every year!! When will they learn?

Oh, my... 595,000 TBI's from people falling down!!! When will they learn?

Wholly Traumatic Brain Injury, batman: 1.7 million people suffer a TBI every year!!!! We have 52,000 dying from a TBI every year, and TBI's cost us $60 billion in health care... EVERY YEAR! When will they learn???

Helmets for *everyone* 24 hours a day!

Maybe later we should discuss the 2,177,000 people who fall off a ladder and go to the emergency room, ever year, too?(National Institute of Health statistic). Maybe we need parachutes and safety nets for people who climb ladders.[Sorry, no statistics on the number of TBI's coming from the "Ladder People."]

Makes me wonder why people always single-out motorcycles when so many hit their heads and suffer a TBI? Perhaps because we're a politically small group, ya think? Those 1.7 million head injuries and 52,000 deaths from TBI's aren't coming from 90,000 motorcycle accidents.

We, the family are gathered to make the decision whether or not to pull life support. Sadly he was not wearing a helmet. I am only saying this for your own safety. Protest if you must. I would rather have you here b-itching me than not.
