Comments like the previous 2 should be banned. A good person and possibly another lost their life in an 'accident'. Why have we become a society of cynics and smart***es? Disgusting.

Where this occurred is not the issue. A veteran has lost his life and another is critically injured.

Dodged all the bullets over there only to be hit by a drunken idiot here. I feel for the families. I almost want to be at their funeral to show my support for veterans, as my father was in Nam.

I am disgusted at the first couple posts. These men were dedicated to the cause of helping fellow veterans. They have been helping every day with getting the traveling memorial wall here for others to enjoy. (they were crossing the street to go to one of the final meetings before the arrival of the wall on Weds.) I feel for their families and all of their friends for this tragedy. I don't know them personally, but both of these men are/were dear friends of my Mother.

Wow, people should be ashamed of themselves for posting such horrible posts as the first two. These are veterans we are talking about. People willing to lay down their lives for ours. And on Wed, they would have seen the memorial wall come through our town. I am a family member of the one who survived and thank God. What I would do without him I do not know. Thank you everyone for your concerns and prayers. May the man who passed rest in peace..

What the heck are you talking about???? A veteran killed in our community, this is sickening! His family is reading this....if you are gonna have the gall to post something so crude, why don't you include your name, address and phone. God bless these men and also the person who hit them. I am certain it was an accident. The kids in our school district are all excited for the traveling wall to be here and this accident will be a time of mourning. WE ARE PICKERINGTON and You apparently are NOT!!!! So keep your posts out of our community!

Apparently you are not a Pickerington resident. Our children and community are looking forward to "the wall" and we love and honor our veterans. This is a sad time for our community and we honor these gentlemen and grieve along with the driver of the vehicle who hit them. I am certain it was an accident and we need to lift the victims families as well as the driver. WE ARE PICKERINGTON and You ARE NOT, so keep your trap shut! Calling our Vets pigeons, please, make the world a better place and deport your sorry self! You have no place in America, let alone Pickerington! I will be happy to buy you a one way ticket out of here!

These men fought for our freedom and unfortunately for the first two posters freedom also. Show some respect. I'm sure your mothers would be so proud of you.

I knew the gentleman who died there tonight... and it's a damn shame that this happened. He was a funny and very intelligent man and I know his family and extended family will miss him dearly.
I donít know WHAT the driver of the van was doing but I hope they come down on him hard. Speeding, drunk driving... or just being stupid. Whatever it was just killed a friend of mine.
Although it reflects that I am New Albany, I am Pickerington.....I am so sorry for your loss and for some of the idiots posting here! Our community mourns your loss.

And Dear Friends of Pickerington. Do not listen to idiots! Our community is mourning too! My kids have come home telling me how excited they are for the wall, how they will have to park in a different lot for school, etc. Their work was not in vein!
