What I plan to do is take a trip to South Carolina and stock up on cigarettes and liquor and fill up as soon as I get out of this state. Connecticut just raised the liquor tax by 20%, which will help to ruin business for more restaurants, private clubs and bars. don't forget, they also are going to tax your carwash, haircuts, nail salons, pet grooming, seriously, are these people in the legislature nuts or what? I sure as hell didn't vote for someone so they can stick it to us the minute they get elected!

I just read today that Procter & Gamble will be raising prices by 5-8% on paper goods and diapers. What's going on here? Everything gets passed on to the consumers and their executives sure don't take a hit with their big bonuses.

Besides the usual BS that the government gives us about the middle East being the reason for high gas prices, can anyone give us the TRUE reason why the high price of gas?(Government need not respond to this question...please). WE have billions of gallons of crude oil in the mountains of Montana, Wyoming and a few other states just waiting to be tapped, so why isn't it being used?
I think it is time our government stops jerking our chain and tell the American people the truth. We're all big men and women now, we can take it.

“When gas prices rise people can have a New England experience very close to metro New York,” said Janet Ferra, the convention and visitors bureau’s executive director. “Perhaps people won’t go as far as New Hampshire, Vermont, or the Cape, but there are a wonderful cornucopia of attractions here.”

Until most democrats are thrown out, it's going to be like this on both the local level and the national level. There will be no economic recovery until Obama is gone.
It will be interesting to see just how bad Connecticut voters make it, before they see the light, won't it?

i found real hard core democrats or republicans will only vote for their party. if their party endorsed hitler and a monkey, they would vote for hitler and a monkey.
amazes me how blind they can be, as an independent i NEVER understand their logic.

Hitler was quite reasonable in the first years of him coming to power But he slowly started becoming more and more ridiculous until he was killing millions of people and no one noticed it happening. Hell ,he was Time's person of the year in 1938. But the point is that obama seems to be doing much of the same thing. He's making American rely more and more on the government (Obamacare, where you have to get it from the government).

If you watch any of the MSNBC commentators shows and you are anti- Obama then you are a racist. it's just annoying that "racist" seems to always be the first that pops into someone's head.
It's still sad that the first thing that comes to mind is "racist"

if obama had his way the gov't would be the largest industry in the nation..........now that obama is in campaign mode he will do nothing about americas' problems (gas prices, economy, unemployment). he'll just fly around in OUR jet stopping at his fundraisers, hobnobbing with rich contributors and the rest of us as far as he's concerned can go to hell.
