Bridgeport art show spotlights stories of suffering, survival

Full story: Connecticut Post

It takes a lot to make a domestic violence victim say those words, much less believe them. Yet, those are the very words they must say and believe in order to move forward from their former condition and into a new life. These things do not come easy and require the victims to avail themselves of every ounce of strength and support from themselves and those around them, and mostly from God. For it begins at the very core of their beings where all the demons have gathered in order to enslave the victims. But there is light at the end of the tunnel for those who would fight for what's theirs and succeed. I hope and pray for all involved as there is much work to be done. For the victims, children, women and men I say thanks to those who have assisted so well for so little.

God bless
Stanley

We need to instill in our young woman that self respect it's the most important belief they can achieve, without it, men and people will walk all over you.and don't ever love anybody more that what you love yourself.Don't give your 100% on anything. Keep some for you, because you are going to need it to continue living....!

Whatever you have to say today, you'll do it with charm and grace. This is just what you need if you've got to have a quiet word in someone's ear without offending them forever or putting your foot in it. You'll be amazed by what you can say now, provided you take things slowly and do your best to consider the other person's feelings.
