This is such a tragic story! This unfortunately is what happens when young girls stay in or go back to violent relationships. The boy should be tried as an adult. And what about the father and grandparents that were home at the time, I'm sure the kids were arguing first why didn't they intervene? They should be held accountable as well.

i kinda would hope that the parents would respect her privacy and personal life and stay out of every argument... they should not be held at all accountable. The ex-boyfriend should be tried as an adult. 12 year olds have been tried as adults before when they murder somebody, when a 17 year old does it, minor? BS.

THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE WHO MAY EVER COME IN CONTACT WITH THE MURDER SUSPECTS FATHER!!! His name is LARRY WIGGINS and he lives in the house where Shev's body was found (12791 Magna Carta Rd. in Herndon). This man's criminal record speaks for itself (look up LARRY WIGGINS under arrests/tickets at fairfaxunderground.com
This man is also an unconvicted CHILD RAPIST, anyone in the neighborhood with children BEWARE!! THIS IS THE TRUTH, PLEASE DO NOT DISREGARD. As for the murder suspect, he was a boy who grew up with a father who fed him drugs from an early age INCLUDING allowing him to inject himself with his own syringes!! The murder suspect dropped out of school his freshman year in high school and was being rewarded with brand new motorcycles, cars, and praised for recently getting a job at a local nightclub (see livevideo.com under wiggywiggywiggy). This man is armed and dangerous, a real threat to society. Read more at the fairfaxunderground.com under dead person in herndon area or siobhan russell murder. RIP Shev.

No to the poster "annon". The parents/grandparents should not "stay out of it". The accused murderer was 17 years old and by law, still the responsibility of his parents/grandparents or whoever was his legal guardians. They should have intervened if this was an abusive relationship. They should be held accountable as well as the offender. From what the news reported, this family has a history of domestic disturbances requiring police intervention. This was a job of poor parenting-either by the parents or grandparents. This whole family should be held accountable.

This is sad!! A girl gets killed and maybe abused all the time and that boys father and family just sits there till she one day gets killed, yes all them should of got some time and that boy was over the age, he should of got life but blessed he became because somehow God has forgiving him, maybe God will change him where he is in hell well I mean in jail !! Guys have to remember that everything happens for a reason and what he did was not human at all. This gril had a life and for him to do this to her, he will pay for it for the rest of his life and in the after life also!!! Rip young angel
