First I say may he rest in peace.Secondly I would like to say that the individual who tased him should have been arrested for felony assault. If their only possessions were irreplaceable, and beiing destroyed,I'm sure they would've been trying to salvage all they could've also. What a prick to tase him.

The police were trying to save his life, the man was trying to go back in the burning home, unaware of the extent he had already been burned.

Just thinking out loud: Let's see Ricky weighed about 120 lbs. soaking wet and a couple rocks in his pocket. There were several police officers and firemen there, how hard did they try to subdue Ricky before tasing him. Oh! wait a minute it's Irvine and I remember all to well in 1984 same police force shot and killed Ricky's Dad, Donald Lohris (little man) Lewis. In that incident, big officer, big gun vs. Little man, no weapon. Ok, just thinking like I said.

Very valid point you make except he did not die from being tased, he died from being burned. I know the tasing seems mean but they were not trying to arrest him, they only wanted to transport him to the hospital. If the police had wanted him dead they would not have tased him. The truth is the truth.

Did not mean to imply that he died due to tasing, he died from the burns. Just seems cruel to tase someone that is already in terrible pain. My thoughts were that they could have handled it in a different way. Although it did make for great headlines in the news. Ricky rest in peace, your battles here on earth are done.

So you justify the electrocution of a man in order to save his life? Really? REALLY? Are you reading the words your typing? Picture this, say your child, your mother, your father or your sister was burned almost to death and some prick cop was electrocuting "lets call it what it is" them the rest of the way to death, how would you feel.

if it wasn't drugs then what was it? who in their right mind would run back into a burning house?

Tasing is not electrocution, look it up. He was not feeling any pain possibly from shock but most likely from the drugs in his system. So, are you saying, since they could not physically restain him they should have let him return to the fire? Frankly, if it were my family member I would be thankful they prevented him from dying that night.

Electrocution means death by electrical shock.

And did he or did he not die? How do you know the burn triggered the death? I know if I was half burned to death and was tased I'd just go ahead and die too..

This country has no morals, end of story, u are a prime example.

Oh how will I ever save this mans life, oh wait I know ill use my taser!!

How f**cking smart is that? Why not just grab the man or tackle him even? I just do not see the logic...

If you taser a person who's body is already at it's stress limit you run a high risk of killing that person, not to mention tasers "by themselves" kills hundreds of people around the world daily... So go ahead and justify tyranny, it will in the end, catch up to us all..

Hell yes, it's a free country or was... In fact if I was president Suicide would be your choice, it's your life, your body and your mind, if you feel like never waking up again who's right is it to stop you as long as your actions are not going to harm others.

Think about it, it's called free will, now that's not to say something like murder ect ect is ok but rather what I'm saying is you should be allowed full control over your own body, INCLUDING but not LIMITED to poising yourself with drugs. If I want to run back into my burning house to grab something I should be able to do that without some prick cop violating my right to free will.

You don't think the family would not have had problem had he been allowed to run back in? Could you let your son harm himself if he was not in his right mind? Nevermind, don't reply.
