Being in New Jersey, could you please check if his room-mate knows anything. The address is 15 Forest Street, Apt 2 B, Montclair New Jersey. I would have gone there were I in the country.

Roommate: Newton Mootlie, 15 Forest Street (still lives in same bldg, different apt. You can look up phone number.)
Another friend: Jefferson Newman, same bldg, you can look up phone number.
Brother: Ronald Blauser ronald.blauser@wachoviasec.com
[They won't let you post phone numbers.]
Roommate Newton, a teacher, went back to his native Jamaica and spent the whole month of August there. He phoned Jerry/Jason on Aug 12th.

Apparently Jerry/Jason died shortly after that. Neighbors called the police because of the odor. The body was found on the floor. Newton speculates that it was sudden because Jerry/Jason made no attempt to call anyone for help.

An autopsy was performed in spite of the advanced state of decomposition, and blockage was found in one artery.

Brother Ronald, from Columbus, Ohio, came at the beginning of Sept to take care of Jerry/Jason's affairs. The body was cremated according to J's wishes. The condominium is now for sale.
Ronald was able to locate J's last wife Twyla.
There has been no memorial service.

I was a friend of J's for the past two years. Our friendship began as a collaboration on a script J had written for a Broadway musical. The musical went nowhere; the friendship did.

I admired J for his courage and optimism. Fate pulled some nasty punches on him toward the end, particularly with respect to his career/finances. He met them like the man he was. He refused to sink into self-pity; instead he saw new opportunities for himself and aggressively pursued them.

J was a real man and a good man. His nurturing friendship meant a great deal to me. When I learned of his passing on Oct 12, I wish I'd known you other friends of his to share memories with. If you live in the NY-NJ area, perhaps we can have a memorial service. It's never too late for that. P.S. J's father, whose end has been immanently expected for the last year or so, is still alive in an Ohio nursing home, being visited daily by J's sister.

No memorial service was held, but it's never too late for that, really. J was a real man and a good man. I prized his friendship. If you feel the same way and live in the NY-NJ area and would like to hold a memorial service, please let me know.

Jerry had a leading role in a movie my Uncle directed in the early 1970's. Our family lost touch with him about 30 years ago but I made contact with him this summer and interviewed him in July in connection with a web site I hope to make about my uncle. Jason/Jerry allowed me to borrow some photos which I mailed back to him on Aug 12 which were only recently returned to me unclaimed. Numerous phone calls and e-mail to him were never returned, and I only learned his true name this evening. I am trying to contact his family through an intermediary to return his photos. If a memorial service is planned, please let me know. peterhsieh@sbcglobal.net

He was the big brother I never had when I was a little girl and my first crush when I got older. It was a big deal to see him play bit parts on TV like Mission Impossible and the time he was on the Dating Game. Haven't seen him since the late 70"s but he will be greatly missed.

I graduated with a Jerry Blauser in 1959 also, am wondering if it the same person. I know his cousin is Brian who is a photographer. They had Blauser furniture store in West Jefferson. Jerry became an actor, was in shakiest gun of the west with Don Knotts. I heard nothing about him after that. Please let me know, thanks so much.
