Erie County Population to rise by 11%???????? Yeah Really! This is nothing but TYPICAL HOGWASH prognostication our civic leaders & study groups dream up to BS the people.
First there is not a single reason to believe this is even remotely possible, nothing industrially or business wise supports this belief & Tourism is like Gobal Warming....Bull S--t
I think whoever dreamed up this story is the same guy who posted today there were 100,000 bikers here for roar on the shore........
1. Doubled the population of Erie...Really?
2. There are only about 4000 hotel rooms available ...assuming they were all booked which they were not ....25 people to a room.....Really?
3. It would be nice if the Erie Times News screened letters to the editor for possibility let alone accuracy. BWAHAHAHAHA!

keep in mind that white people are on the decline... so 11% increase of lowlifes, plus at least another 20% of imported lowlifes to offset the loss of white folks. Looking good erie !

Just another filler article. Erie is Pennsylvania's largest group home. Do the math, more free services = more customers.

The only growth Industry in Erie is the immigration of people from Eastern Europe, Middle East Crapholistans, Africa & a smattering of Asians . They are barely keeping up with the exodus of Young Caucasians from Erie who are leaving for better pastures.
Now we are going to get flooded with Mexicans & Hispanics from south of Mexico.with the blessing of the Democratic Party, some mis-guided Nuns from a leftwing religious order & stupid members of the welfare core base.
Now given the increasing flight of jobs, industry & talent from Erie....How in the world does this translate to a 11% population gain?
Erie seems to the place where BS has more attraction then money with most people feeding on it . How do people get this stupid to believe the BS stories being fed to them?
I would not suggest building a restaurant to service the new customers fom the 11% gain in population..........Having been smart enough to leave where they were to come to this country even if it will be Erie, I doubt they will be satisfied with the BS sandwiches much of Erie is munching on .

While it is difficult to believe (frankly anything that rag writes is difficult to believe), their analysis is essentially that more people will be born during that time frame than will die. They are not suggesting new people are moving here, it is the same population base, just the demographics shifting.

If Erie County had a slow growing population base despite people moving away with the current influx of immigrants your contention would be valid but.....Erie itself has lost 37,000 in population while the county has remained at about 285,000 for 30 years .If another 35,000 immigrants move into Erie , I`ll bet 35,000 caucasians will move out & away from Erie & Erie County

Well they are suggesting "Predicting " new people will move here...Erie`s population has fallen by 37000 in the last 40 years despite all the immigrants coming here. This means there is an exodus of our young people out of town who would be the ones to reproduce & increase the population if they stayed. It is obvious the only way an increase in population is by immigration & given the fact Erie`s population is in serious decline with people dying off or leaving town , we are going to be a dumping ground for the worlds displaced people & accelerate that to gain a population increase.
