Something smells awful fishy here and it isn't in the lake. Since when does some group or individual get to say when and how much they want and are going to pay in taxes. How much else of this is an has been going on with this group? Sounds awful close to the property owners in the city not paying their garbage and water bills and the heavy burden falling on the other people who play by the rules.
This sounds like there is much more going on at this "non profit", hope the Times News investigates it like they did the WIB last year.
Didn't John Elliot bankrupt the Erie Redevelopment Authority a few years back?? How did he land this gig??

One in the same. Did you ever hear him speak? He could sell ice to an Eskimo. Non profit? I wonder how much Elliott pays himself? He's been in that position for 4 years and what has he accomplished? Lord will stay. Elliott is now the largest land owner in Erie County with over 700 acres and more being added. Lots of grants (taxpayer money). In November 2.6 million to expand an under utilized Erie Port. Last month 3 million towards a 22 million dollar water line to Albion for a company who has never produced the product they want to build a facility for. That's right the company the water line is for has never produced any pig iron that the smelting plant will be built for. Can you say Juice Plant?
If he continues to be arrogant he just may loose that cushy job and have to go back to Urban Engineers.
