We as taxpayers should have some say in this decision on what to do with our hard earned pay checks. This is going to be another free for all

So where the hell is the city's mayor, Joe Sinnott? This latest debacle is in the city so why isn't he getting involved?

Appointing his brother's law partner to the convention center authority board is apparently enough.

Sad.

This is a County project to be voted on by the County Council ......I agree in principle the City should be involved, but being a county project they are not officially a part of the discussions.

For what it is worth I do not think any project located in the City of Erie should be handled by the County Council, it more properly should the responsibility of the city administration. For sure we should not have Kathy Dahlkempe rinvolved in any city based projects.

I realize Roger Richards, Marlene Mosco, and Mike McCormick (Erie Beer) can do whatever the hell they want at the convention center authority and without any interference from the city's mayor, but, in any other city on the planet, a mayor would get involved.

That Sinnott is silent again is absurd. No surprise. But absurd. I think it was right for the county executive to bring people to the table to discuss this issue since Sinnott apparently does not care.

I want a private developer to build the hotel that is supposedly necessary instead of a public authority borrowing more money and not paying a penny of real estate taxes. Scott's hotel will pay taxes and he will carry the risk.

And now here comes the bigger government.
We will get to pay for 4 more on her staff.
Top guy gets big pay raise.
Got to pay more because absolutely no one will work for $67,000 a year and most likely benefits too, for her.

Crap, I will take it at $67,000 a year. I am sure after a day or two I can tune her out. Kind of like she tuned out every one that did not want to guarantee the hotel bond.

No surprise here. Dahlkamper Landscaping is the only approved outside vendor for the port authority. Of course she is going to broker a deal to get the family a bigger piece of the pie.

Grossman would never have done this...regardless of his faults, he had a strong dislike for Roger Richards and would not have put this monstocity on the backs of the taxpayers especially since his community college was voted down.
