There is a lot wrong with this picture, and I am not just talking about what was on YouTube.

The Animal Welfare Act just isn't up to par. Too many abusers are getting away with little more than a slap on the wrist. Change is coming, there are people working relentlessly now to ensure that it happens very soon.

Animal welfare is the realistic means to improve the treatment of animals unlike the bullshit anti-human fantasy of "animal rights". You ARA trolls need to learn the difference between animal use and animal abuse, they ARE NOT SYNONYMOUS. No matter how much you stomp your feet and hold your breath you'll never change that fact.

Meanwhile the ones opposed to animal rights are sitting on their fat as_es trolling AR Forums on the internet doing nothing. Means we'll have less trouble getting bills and laws passed since the antis obviously care more about irritating people on menial websites like Topix, than actually doing something to help their own cause.=)

Yeah, that's why so many stateS are adding a right to hunt, fish, and trap to their state constitution, because we aren't doing anything. Thirteen states have added such a HUMAN RIGHT to their state constitution and more are poised to follow but we haven't been doing anything, right? How many states have you gotten to ban hunting? None, right? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA H! Yours is a lost cause and you are a pathetic loser. Have fun storming the castle..........

Philosopher Jeremy Bentham once said that when deciding on a being's rights, "the question is not 'Can they reason?' nor 'Can they talk?' but 'Can they suffer?'" What he meant is that if a being can suffer, then that being deserves the right to equal consideration. It doesn't matter whether or not that being can talk or can understand mathematics. Regardless of anything else, all animals have the ability to suffer in the same way that human beings do. They feel pain, pleasure, fear, frustration, loneliness, and motherly love. So whenever we do anything that interferes with their needs, we have a moral responsibility to take them into account.

The Antis may say otherwise, but ARAs are not saying that animals should have drivers licenses or the right to vote, just that animals deserve to live their lives free from suffering and exploitation. It's as simple as that, and we won't stop fighting until animal rights are recognized.

Only because the truth bares repeating and you ARAs keep spouting the same lies and misinformation over and over again. No matter how many times you try to pass off your fantasy world as reality, there will be a sane normal person to expose your lies. I don't hear anybody trying to legislate you into eating meat. I don't see anyone committing terrorist acts to force you to eat meat. If you would be satisfied with the choices you've made for yourself and stop trying to restrict, curtail, and control the choices of others we wouldn't be talking right now.

No species on this planet lives their lives free from suffering and exploitation. Some individuals get lucky but as a whole, everything suffers at some time and everything gets exploited at some time and the roles constantly change to a tune that only nature controls. Take your blinders off and get a refreshing dose of reality. Have you ever actually been out of the house?

For me, supporting animal rights is a no-brainer. After all, who could possibly be for being cruel to animals? It just doesn’t seem like a reasonable position! We have to do all we can to protect the rights of animals, people, and anything that can feel pain.

You've certainly proven that you have no brain because animals don't have rights, can't have rights, and will never have rights. DUH! If you'd like to offer animals protections from certain kinds of treatment then you'd be in the realm of reality. I won't hold my breath waiting for you to get there though.

From Men in Black, and very relevant in regard to the animal hating, idiot trolls who infest topix:

Edgar/Bug: Y'know, I've noticed an infestation here. Everywhere I look, in fact. Nothing but undeveloped, unevolved, barely conscious pond scum, totally convinced of their own superiority as they scurry about their short, pointless lives.
Zap-Em Man: Well, yeah. Uh... don't you want to get rid of 'em?
Edgar/Bug: Ah... in the worst way.
