Sounds like we teachers are in line for some nice raises. With that salary
that gives us notice that we have lots of cash, money to bargain with.
Tax payers again suffer we will have a tax increase after this.

Wrong on both accounts. The salary for the new superintendent is just about where Dr Maynard's salary would have been had he stayed. It's not out of line and does not mean there is "lots of cash". And since this amount was already budgeted for, it certainly will not lead to a tax increase.

Current board member, are you committing to a no tax increase this year?

Teachers in line for nice raises, I have no problem with that if their raise is based on accountability measures. Some teachers are worth so much more than others and some do lots more harm than good. I would happily pay good teachers great salaries, but the ones who just put in time, forget it.

Regarding the discussion of a tax increase, I was merely saying that Mr Golde's salary will not in and of itself be cause for a tax increase as a previous poster was suggesting. Anything else would be speculation. We will not be seeing any kind of budget proposal untill after the first of the year. But I would invite you to come to the budget meetings and help us set priorities.

Typical union mentality response.

If I'm not mistaken, Verel Salmon's salary (unearned, mostly) when he was (justifibly) forced out five years ago, was about $110,000. The projected $155,000 for the new guy is about an increase average of 7% per year. Nice.

How come Mary Ann Anderson is moving her office again...top priority. Maybe she doesn't like the fact that people see what goes on...like Cacchione and others collaborating. Paranoia perhaps?

Now she thinks that her private meetings will really be private. No snooping eyes. Some people who say they are her friends, but they aren't.
