" 'He could neither read or write, but he was a master storyteller. His stories are known and told all over the world,' said Karima Amin, a former Buffalo schoolteacher who resigned in 1994 to make storytelling her full-time profession."

So this lady quit her teaching position to do this? Talk about stupid. How's this going to help these kids prepare for the workforce?

burger flipping kid: "And then we moved from the east side into cheektowaga, them white people really mad."

supervisor at fast food joint: "quit talking on the job"

kid: "it's my art fucker, I'm a story-teller."

Like they have any stories worth telling or people haven't heard before: I got no daddy, my mother's a junky, my brother is in jail, shot dead, in a street gang etc.

Why don't they teach these kids some useful shit like chemistry, math, chinese or barring that how to wire or plumb a house.

Song Of The South was a good movie with plenty of story telling by Uncle Remus. I guess that tradition has been hauled off by the PC Po-Leece for makin' dem dere darkies looks da fool. Not enough guns and drugs fo' Br'er Rabbit and de Tarbaby...

When you have no documented history, storytelling is the next best thing. That way you control the content and manipulate your failures and weaknesses and pimp them off as facts. Lying is their nature ... Their essence.

It wasn't til the european colonization of africa that the jungle dwellers had an alphabet so that they could spell their history. Once they learned to spell oooga boooga they could write the new history on rocks and in caves. Anythingvbefore that time is pure fiction.
