I'm surprised at those posters who have managed to turn a horror like this into a forum for their political or religious hatchet-sharpening.

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, and spent much time boating, hiking and camping in and around the mining areas of Central and Southern Utah. It was my good fortune to meet a lot of miners and their families.

The people who actually DO this work around the U.S. and the world - who risk their lives so that our lights work, our homes are heated and cooled, and we can enjoy countless other conveniences - should be thanked when things go well, and prayed for when they all too often don't.

Has Bush really ignored any disaster? Of course he was there for 9/11, and he was in Minneapolis just after the bridge collapsed. He hasn't ignored anyone. Besides this has nothing to do with Bush. This is about the poor guys that are trapted in the mine. We should be thinking and praying for them...NOT making hurtful comments about people. Pay attention to what is really happening. The families of those men would probably appreciate it more if you would send your thoughts and prayers for the men to be found.

Jason,
Is everyone up there in Oregon smart like you? I really like your creative spelling. You should post more often. We sure could learn a lot from you, and it's only right you should share your thoughts. You will hear from other folks who is smart like yourself. Just give them time.

Remember, he also caused Hurricane Katrina, moved it to the MS/LA coast to cause the maximum storm-surge on New Orleans, then blew up the levees to eliminate the strong Democrat vote in the area.
