Elliott County Clerk Indicted On 19 Felony Counts

A grand jury in northeastern Kentucky has indicted the Elliott County clerk on 19 charges.

As a citizin in Elliott Co. i had the experence with doing buisness with Mrs. Ison and I tell you that she tried to over charge me to get my car tagged and licenced i called 2 other co. and she was trying to over charge me by $132.00 people you need to be aware of this check other counties I for one would like to see this trial in another co. plus, why the hell is she still working there. if it were anyone of us we would be put on leave or if any of us would have 19 felony indictments we would be in jail any thoughts on this it doesent seem fair!!!!!!

Yes, it seems that most areas would have dismissed the County Clerk back when original State Auditor concerns were noted a few years ago.
This should be dealt with outside the county.
A lien on her gas royalties could be used to reimburse the hard working citizen that she stole from.

I know the feeling, I went to license our vehicles last year, I think there where 3 total. By the time it was all said and done, yes I had spent a fortune. However the BEST PART was... they licensed a car that had not been drove in over 4 years told them that car had been wrecked and was not even in our possetion. They refused to give me a refund on that car. So on top of that, where she had added a vehicle that was not needed, I had to turn around and pay for the last of the 3 that were intended to be tagged! All in all... a little over a grand that day! Thanks Rita... we love u too! by the way... that's sarcasm. Also, not heard much about this situation running through town lately. I guess the Charlie Howard case is a little more current, but what do we have to do wait a nother 3 years for something to be done??

call the commonwealth attorney david flatt to see what is going on with the ison case. something needs to be done

better not call old david flatt in this case because she's in click, she's free woman for sure!!! and besides he would not stay awake long enough to try the case, besides if you did call him he would bear face lie to a person.

Well I don't understand why everyone keeps voting her back in to office. She doesn't know anything about her job, she is always screwing people over. I sure didn't vote for her. I am sure Judie Holbrook would have been a much better candidate.

We need to pick one person to run against her and be done with it. In the last election there were so many people running nobody even came close. That and they played the sympathy card. Its all the judges fault! Awwww poor baby. Lets all feel sorry for the woman who has been ripping us off for years. Add to that the fact that she's related to most of the registered voters in the county and can I hear it folks...

We have a winner yes another term for her. So whats the consolation prize for the taxpayers. Shall we all just write her a check for a couple of hundred dollars each, just to say thanks for the fact that our wallets are a whole lot thinner?

Has, what she done any worse than some of the other people in the county?Maybe she has made mistakes.... At least she isn't getting a cut out of drugs or dealing them...

I solved my own issue with her office... I go to another county to get mine done... However, there is a lesser of evils here, but when it come to drugs and theft.... one usually leads to another, so there isn't a black and white here... Its just that the system is screwed up from the get up! That's just my opinion though ...

Well she is never even there, so at least maybe she can't take our money if she isn't there. And if you want to know all about her mishandlings just ask a few of her previous employee's. I'm sure they would all be willing to tell you about he stuff that is going on up there.

think we need to get a younger person to run for clerk, someone that is honest and the public knows. whats so odd about reeda is her husband is a good man and he wouldn't even vote for her last time. have heard from parents and folks that knew her dad that he was the same way although i am not sure of that myself. And your right about getting one person to run i think thats all part of it, some of the people running last time was just there to split the vote and they knew that they had no chance of winning. good luck to the person that runs it will take a long time to fix what she has screwed up....

What about Kyle Fulkner, he ran against her once. I don't really know him but I know he worked in that office for a while before he ran, might have even did her job. Does anyone else remember.

I think the one that is running the office now should be elected. Kathy is always there and she runs the office. Reeda can't even dile the phone unless kathy is standing there giving her instructions how. If you remember Reeda worked under Judy HOlbrook and judy had to leave office early because she got into a little trouble like reeda has. And kyle Fulkner is a joke he is like barry blair he dosen't have the personality for the job. kathy can do the job. You talk about how slow the office is now well put someone in there that has to be trianed and think how slow it will be. I sincerely hope kathy runs for the office.
