Yeah, he got to her at such a young age, I am sure he had convinced her it was love.

I don't know if hanging this guy would be good enough. I heard he was a wackjob. They caught him because he tried to enter a camous and pass out 'tracts"

How do you live in a 10x10 building all that time without anyone knowing? People need to start watching their neighbors. You need to know what is going on.

I watch the crack dealers next door all the time. I dont want to catch a stray bullet/

I hear you!! We had neighbors last year with a little boy (under 2) and a new born, we heard them fighting all the time from 12 midnight till 5 a.m when my husband would go to work.. and I would sit and listen.. waiting to hear one of the children...and one night I did, the adults were fighting hard, cursing and throwing things, and then I heard the little boy crying.. and I heard a loud smack and then screaming from the little boy. That's all it took. Myself and 3 other neighbors in our string of townhouses called the cops.
It's become almost taboo for us to be "nosy" about our neighbors. We are "snitches" and we need to "mind our own business" But come on people,
You see a little child with someone and they both look uneasy or something doesn't seem right.. do what you can to follow up. You hear or see something strange.. don't be afraid to look and see. You just might save someones life.
And that's OK.

Whatever happened to neighborhood watch?

The pisser of this story is her stepfather watched the guy take her and didn't do anything but stand there like a dumbfounded child and then call 911. If my dad had seen that go down, the guy who tried taking me would be missing half his freaking head.

I completely agree with you. There are some children in our neighborhood who would come and play with our children, and there was some real shady stuff goin down. We contacted the authorities. I thought about it long and hard before I did, I don't want to ruin anyone, but children need to be protected. Sometimes the adults in thier lives just don't care or are whacked mentally or dependent on drugs and alcohol to point where the health and well being of thier own children means nothing. I could not rest easy knowing what I knew from the children...I wish I had not had to call, but I am glad I did so.

The story broke my heart as well, teamcg.

I do so hope that Jaycee can escape the hell that has been embedded upon her psyche as she escaped her captivity.

We literally had a naked three yr old running down my street. We took her into the house next door to see who she belonged to. The parent was so strung out on crack, he didn't notice she was missing.

Just a simple question for everyone. Why do people have children when they don't want to love and care for them and don't want to quit the partying crap to keep them safe?

If I had been physically able, I'd have had a houseful. Loved them and taken care of them. Their daddy would have too. We don't have much money, just from pay check to pay check to pay the bills, but we would have gotten by. My momma taught me how to sew, garden, can, dry and preserve food, my husband hunts, so we wouldn't go naked or starve. But, the Lord had other plans for us.

It breaks my heart to hear and see children not taken care of. They are the future of our nation and our world. They are treasures. Don't treat them like disposable toys. Kids are messy, smelly and down right dirty at times, but they are also sweet and ready to give their love, unconditionally.

People, take care of your children. They are much more important than drugs, sex, alcohol and partying.

The above is one of the most poignant statements that I have ever read in my three years as a Topix member.

Well Gina, it's become very common for people to have children as a quick fix to a problem, and when they realize that it didn't help, the children are left alone. It's a sad cycle. A Couple that doesn't get along anymore will have a baby to fix their relationship, we all know how that works out. And a ridiculous number of women every year have children so that they can have a place to live and someone to take care of them,(the state)
It's a shame. I have 2 boys and they are my livelihood. They can be little butt holy devils but that's ok.
They are a part of me and that's just one of the many reasons I love them so much.

But seriously someone needs to come baby sit these kids they are driving me crazy!! lmao!!

Drug addicts forget condoms during sex and they end up having kids. This solves the puzzle of why drug addicts have children when they don't know how to take care of them.

Yeah, there were a ton of comments. I left a few and they're gone. Funny how harmless things get deleted but high school drama rages openly here.
