Joshua should be nominated for the "Father of the Year" award; oh wait, WE are supporting HIS offspring. Josh is just slopping around his sperm.

Ha... My ex owes me alone $34,000. His second baby momma $14,000, and a third mom just filed for her two kids with him. FYI... none of us have ever been on welfare, so don't stereotype! Too bad we don't live in Wisconsin, because Minnesota does NOTHING to enforce it. He works for cash and doesn't file taxes. He has no DL, so what, he drives anyway. He has a warrant out for his arrest, they know his address and no one will go pick him up. Meanwhile, he is living in a sober house that all of us are paying for! Yay! The system is so broken here in MN... unbelievable!

Well, okay, he's a deadbeat, but why are these women hooking up with a loser with previous kids with other women anyway? That'd be a huge red flag to me. Also, birth control anyone?

My ex wife maxed out 6 credit cards ($75,000) and drained the saving account($15,000) on a $200 a day coke habit. Then she walked out on our two kids and never paid a ***** thing for child support or took responsibility for any of the debt she left behind. I hope that ****** rots in hell.

Hey I am owed 38,000 dollars. No one gives two shits about it. I hope the mf has his intestines pulled out slowly, set on fire, and operated on without anesthesia.

While I do sympathize with you, it does take two to make those children. Why no protection? Now, you say you do not collect welfare, but how do you pay rent, utilities, groceries, insurance, car expenses, medical expenses, day-care if you work? I have a difficult time with those expenses, and my wife and I both work.
My guess is that you are getting benefits from Minnesota's liberal social net somehow. And I agree with you our system is broken, but there is a lot of personnal responsibility in your case.

Why is this guy so special that the PP did a story on him? Could it be maybe the person who reported this story is somehow related? This isn't nothing new after all.

While I agree that I was too young to have a child and it was irresponsible, it happened and I stepped up and took responsibility for my actions. What is wrong with expecting the fathers to do the same and the state to actually enforce it?I have never collected a dime of welfare, no WIC, no daycare assistance, nothing. I worked by butt off and went to college full time (which I paid for and am still paying for by myself), while I worked full time and raised my son. I now have a fantastic job and own a home in suburbia that I paid for all by myself. I don't need his money, I just think it's laughable that absoultely is done by the state to take care of these losers (male AND female). If you are having a hard time paying your bills with two incomes, I suggest you stop living beyond your means and maybe you or your wife could get a degree and a better paying job...

First of all I commend you for taking responsibility for your child, and getting a college education. And I agree with you 100% a parent (father/mother) should be expected to take care of their children. And the State of Minnesota should enforce the laws. However, I think a deadbeat scumbag knows how to beat the system by working cash jobs, etc. But my underlining premise is that a man and a woman are responsible for protecting themselves, not society.

And no, my wife and I are not living beyond our means, matter of fact I have a college degree, industrial engineering. But helping two children with college, not 100%, we expect them to work too, is expensive. We make pretty decent money, put money away in 401K, pay a house payment, utiliies, groceries, family medical insurance ($660/month), life/house/business insurance, and after you pay auto insurance on two adults-two kids, three cars there is not much left. I have to admit I wonder how other families are doing it.

Thats it? I'm sure there's people out there who owe a lot more, why isn't anything being done about them? For example, my father owes my mother $120K for 15 years of child support. Yes she's filed complaints but they can never "find" him. His address is on facebook. One time the state went after him, we framed that check, it was for $24. And I'm pretty sure our story isn't even the worse, maybe the PP should go find those people instead.

This story isn't in the newspaper, it's on-line only. They put it up because they knew it would get interest from readers and it didn't cost them a thing to do it.

Big deal,$35,000. My ex owes me almost double that and my son is almost 23 years old. I also do not fit the stereotype of welfare mom, I busted my ass to raise and support my son alone. I too was a teen mom.
My ex has gone on to have at least 3 more children, the youngest is a year old. I have fought the system for 20 plus years. What a worthless thing that is. In 20 years and numerous felony's the only thing the State of Wisconsin has done is revoke his drivers license, big deal he rarely had one and drove anyway, revoked his hunting/fishing license, big deal, he did neither. He spent 18 months in prison for non support and 3rd offense DUI. The DUI was taken care of in mere months while it took me 15 years of fighting to get him in prison for 9 months.
Today, I receive $21.74 per month in back child support, enough to keep him out of jail.
