Hubbard House and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to Commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Hubbard House, in partnership with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and other local law enforcement agencies and domestic violence shelters, will hold a press conference announcing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

More importantly if they need to be told, will they listen? People tolerate abuse because they have no self esteem. They are more afraid to go out into the world and try a fresh start than to take a beating. Or they feel that the love is worth the abuse. When your thinking is that messed up its hard to get them to break out. Shy of an epiphany of thought they will continue in those kinds of relationships. Its sad and tragic but no amount of awareness will change it.
