Detective Trowbridge ? Is that Tim Trowbridge?.. I thought he worked for the Drug Task Force or something... Is he back on the PD? I went to school with him.

FYI most of the information that appears in the DDD comes from the KPD, in reference to crime stories... so Trowbridge must be referred to in some cases as a "detective" in addition to his other titles. Which to my knowledge anyone that investigates a crime extensively is more or less considered an investigator or detective. And Trowbridge, from what I understand, wears several hats around here.

If you will look at the top of this page at the article that was being referred to, it say TIM Trowbridge... I thought it was funny... nothing wrong with that!! I would have laughed at myself for the same thing and am very capable of doing the same thing!! Why can't we all laugh and joke w/out someone being rude!!!

Sorry if I came off rude. I never intended to sound that way at all :( Anyway, I guess I did not understand what the misunderstanding in the original post was all about. All I was pointing out was that Tim Trowbridge carries more than one title in some cases with the department. I think he is a great guy who does a wonderful job for the community. That is all I was trying to convey in my last post. I never thought you or anyone else was demeaning him or his position in anyway. Just a mis-communication, Truce? lol.

I agree with Scarlett, Tim is a great guy.. I never got a chance to thank him but I had a guy next door selling drugs. Tim came and spoke with me several times, then in about a week he and a group of police dressed in black suits and helmets raided the house... problem solved. Scarlett, if you see Tim on a regular basis, tell him Tom said "thanks again"

Tim Trowbridge is a wonderful guy. I have had converstations with him and one of the reasons he became an officer of the law was because of the death of his parent(not sure which one) which was killed by a drunk driver. The drugs and the alcohol are one of my favorite things that I would love to get rid of in this town.

It was his father. When I was about 16 years old, one fo my friends and I made the mistake of drinking underage... sure we were just trying to be cool and it was only a wine cooler, but Tim and another officer caught us acting like idiots in public with the bottles in our hand.(I have grown up so much since then and look back on those days and laugh) Anyway, if my memory serves me right, Tim Trowbridge sat me down in his office that night as I waited on my parents to come pick me up and told me the story about losing his father, I believe. It was really touching, even as an idiot teenager. So much in fact that I still remember it to this day. I also remember him and some of the officers playing the chipmunks christmas carols in the background b/c it was close to christmas I think. He even offered me some biscuits and gravy :) He is really a great cop who was able to see the good in me and that I just made a dumb mistake as a kid.
Just wanted to share that little story. He may not remember, but I will never forget.

Where would you move? Its bad all over. Think about this, we from the first kind of "cop" which was a fire guard that sat up and watched the town while the people rested. We went from that to paying someone to harrass us and give us tickets for every small thing we do. To control crime the people must defend themselves, if not its only going to get worse.
