Indiana is horrible when it comes to CPS!! I had a friend whos sister was in Vincennce was locking her oldest in a closet as punishment, only feeding her infant half of what he needed so she could sell the formula for Meth, and was giving the baby whisky when he cried so he would sleep. There was NO food in that house and she tested positive for meth and pot. My friends family begged them to take the kids away and put them in a better home!! Guess what happend...they took the kids away for 1 week and nothing has changed.

I live in Illinois and my kid goes to school with a bloody mouth cause she had really bad chapped lips and I have DCFS knockin at my door and claiming I hit her- even though the witch of a case worker even admitted that my daughters lips were chapped and anything would have caused them to bleed.

It cracks me up how the caseworkers are always to blame. You know what, they have a boss just like everyone else. They may want to help and are not permitted to do anything.

Just like when people cuss the soldiers for participating in the war. The have to do what they are told!

And when you get crappy tasting food in a restaurant and you blame the waitress. The waitress did not cook the food. It is not his/her fault, if the person cooking the food can't cook!!

If you want to complain, complain about the laws in your state. Not the people who are doing the work. It is the people who run these places and the people who are making these laws. Not the workers!!!!

Well Get a Grip,

Im sorry..if I was a caseworker and a child tested positve for meth or was without a doubt being abused and my "boss" tells me there is nothing I could do...I would quit. Whats the point of being in a profession of helping kids if your not helping kids.

it wouldn't matter to me what my boss would tell me bc eventually i wouldn't be able to live with myself after i seen children start dying and i may have changed that if i would have done something from the start. any person with any kind of common sense would ask oneself"are they going to do this again?""when is this going to stop?"
question for ya-if this was a part of your family what would you have done?what would you expect someone else to do for you? that was this caseworkers JOB and they didnt do a very good job at that!
what about the father in all of this? he knew about it and let it go on, they were both bad parents and instead of getting new parents he got put in a box under some dirt. Dont forget the end of this story and it isnt a happy ending.it also was no accident.

hey mistyann,we sleep just fine, cause at least we are trying to help. what have you been doing lately?
ohh that's right---NOTHING....
Would you happen to be from the Knox County CPS??? We have complained about a family since May and nothing has been done. The father is completely psychotic and is threating people who turn them in. The children are not receiving the medical attentiont that they need but yet it is ok. For a couple of months they had no utilities. For those of us that are trying to do something we would like an answer...what the hell are you doing???? The daughter was locked out of the house and forced into a dog house. She is only a toddler. Should we call the pet port and claim that they are animals...at least we know they will take them away and even put them up for adoption!!!! It is sad when an animal has more rights than that of a child. How many more children have to die??? Gov Daniels did a horrible job of picking new case workers. It is also sad when the police have to tell the mother that she is about to lose her kids...but obviously none of us have any clue as to how children should be cared for. After all you can sleep well at night when others cannot because CPS wont do their job!!!

"CPS is a joke", if you hadn't mentioned Knox Co, I would have thought for sure you were talking about a certain family here. Not only have the kids abuse been turned in to authorities, but there is also a starving animal involved that is believed to have been stolen. Nothing has been done to investigate this situation. I guess in this county, neither kids nor animals have rights! Really not surprising!

Govern Daniels is the biggest part of this problem. Daniels recently changed the laws regarding child abuse. His goal is to keep abused children in the home and it is almost impossible to remove a child per his law. He believe in rehab for the abuser and if the child has been removed, then send them back in the home with the abuser. As if it only takes a month or less to reform an abuser and things will just magically change over night. If you have been with a domestic abuser you know they don't change ever. Daniels just wants to take the burden off the state and brush off child abuse, turn the other cheek. People need to write to the Senator to make change.

Right now nothing is being done to help an abused child. They do nothing to the abuser, just look the other way. What you will get contacting anyone in the state house is silence. They are totally corrupt and we need a clean sweep of every politician in office now. They all need to be voted out.

If you're from Sulliva I feel sorry for you. That is one corrupt county. And agree, they do nothing but to the other way. As long as it's not their child. Yeck, they are probably abuser themselves.

I have personally dealt with cups in dubois county and they are so corrupt it is ridiculous!!! At closing of my case they still could not tell me why they took my children.....all service plans for an entire yearhad nnothing to do with any accusations. All drug screens passed including hair follicles and they still took my children....warrants were served on my home with nothing found these assholes get paid to foster children out!!! Look into it....cups is a money making scheme...human trafficking medical kidnap....they are low life scumbags and if anyone wants to take z stand against these people I will be there with ya!!! Its funny how every time I go out and run into these people they are trashed at bad or complaining about how much they can't stand when kids cry...worthless they are!!!
