County waits on dog fee hike
#1 Aug 14, 2008
4577 The county must want to raise dog license fees so they can purchase bigger and fancier pickups and have two lazy dog catchers riding around togather with a coffee cup in hand.
I see them all the time doing nothing but just leasurely cruising around. Poor babies. HUH-- so over worked and under fed. How about license for cats [ big time preditor of young Turkeys, Quail, Pheasants, ducks Geese and many more game birds.} Also license for County Road workers who mostly drive very expensive pickups, lean on shovels and gang up in a circle beside roads and each driving a nice air conditioned and heated Pickup and just leave it running , using massive amounts of fuel , just to stay comfy when parked or out of vehicle. Make them buy there own collar and license tags. All dog license are for is public harrasement and revenue and some lazy person who is too lazy to get a real honest job.---The funding spent on this kind of garbage with times tough, for real education, assisting the very poor with food, heat and etc. The State Troopers, the criminal enforcement cost for the Sherif,s Dept on hard crimes, The list of worthy things to fund goes on and on`. Certainly not Dog Patrol. Its a very good thing that I am not a County Commissioner because there would be lots of things change and budget cut and no doubt, a lot of pink slips passed out to people that think real work is a hard core crime and the dog catchers doing something productive for the Citizens tax dollars instead of living a leasure life and calling it a job.
