I have pot marks on both sides... I fist thought it was rocks hitting the sides, but ran into another Alpha owner and he told me there is a class action on defective fiberglass. I have talked with my local repair shop and he says I can fix it myself for a lot less hassle and do it right. Since I am not involved with this class action, guess I am going to give it a try.

I have a short version of a long and terible story.

I purchased a 2005 alfa gold with 55k miles in nov 2010, alittle over a year ago, from a dealer Toole rv. in utah. After taking the unit to freightlinner,& allson, for recalls service and inspection and Im , Not doing an oil change and oil test, as the dealer earged me not to becaus he had just changed it. Wetook the unit to sandeago in the spring, we got to the 800 mile mark , running well and the turbo went out in the shop we found out the engine needed a inframe overhaul, as the cooling system had never been serviced and had ate through the cylinder walls.$15,000 and 90 days later I got it back. Cummins paid for the turbo , as it was only 90 days old , but refused to help with the engine , as I was the second owner and the warrentee was to 50k miles. While I feel the dealer eather knew or didn't test the oil for coolent , even with signs of coolent loss. and when this matter was brought to there attention commented that I had bought the unit cheep and he wasn't going to feel bad. Lession is be sure to test oil and always keep you cooling system up.

I don't believe it. New Alpha Motorhomes? I though I heard that a lot of talent started working on the Tuscany diesel motorhomes: http://TuscanyRV.com/motorhomes.php

I know the Tuscany Diesel Pushers range from small class A diesels at 36 foot all the way up to a 45 foot premium luxury motorhomes.

Theses diesel motorhomes are being manufactured by Thor Coach: http://ThorMotorCoach.com

The may also have be apart of building the Palazzo Small Diesel Motorhomes: http://PalazzoRV.com

I can't wait for more news if there will be 2013 or 2014 Alpa Motor homes. I just don't see it being a good thing, but well have to wait and see.

The only thing to repair the paper hole popouts in the paint(fiberglass) on Alfa's, is to replace the fiberglass skin on the areas or all. I have looked into Rino Linning over it after most of the popping has finished. Tht works well and cost far less than 30k to refiberglass, and if you have an area that pops loose due to large amounts of popping under rino, they simply re spray that area. The only problem is the texture isn't as smooth as paint.

I chipped away all the loose chips and filled in the divits with a body filler called icing. Cleaned the surface then applied the white plastic covering. Seems to hold the fiberglass chips into place. Have not covered the whole motorhome yet but plan to do so. Im sure open to any other ideas to get rid of the chipping.
