That does not make any sense, absolutely NONE. You are only making inaccurate prejudical remarks against a minority group and against a birth control agency while throwing in an emotional issue concerning abortion.

Rape is a legal excuse for an abortion as is the life of the Mother, it always has been. You don't have to rob anyone, never did. Are you suggesting you should rob someone and get an abortion in an alley? Go read roe vs wade, educate yourself.

Fear mongering? What do you mean?

The man in this story deserves to go to prison for both the rape and the theft but that has nothing to do with your remarks.

You don't need either of those things as an "excuse" for abortion. Abortion in the early stages of pregnancy while it is little more than a lump is legal. It is not a baby, it is a developing fetus that will become a baby. Later stages of abortion has to be a medical emergency to save the life of the mother when one or the other or both may die. It is approved by a panel to prevent abuse of the system and to make certain it is needed, and late stage abortion is only used for medical reasons.

During the first year of the Bush admin while the Republicans controlled but congress and the presidency, they pushed for a war but did nothing about abortion. Do you not understand that they use this emotional issue to get votes but do nothing about it because these limits are reasonable? Just as other limits are?

Two wrongs never make a right. Love is a choice, and it is nature for a woman to love her child no matter how it was created. Society seems to be undermining that, however. The biggest problem is the unwanted emotional ties to the perp. One way to remedy that is to put the rapist on death row. There, they will not be able to ever get back in the victim's life, nor will they be able to make any other victims, thus reducing the need for abortion.

Another thing is that pregnancies resulting from rape is quite rare. While pregnancy can happen any time there is sex, whether the sex is wanted or not, stress often creates a poor environment in the body for pregnancy to occur. Just going by how the female cycle works, rape could never result in pregnancy more than 1 in ten times. Then add in the stress factor, and the odds of a miscarriage, and a small chance that the victim is infertile or in such poor health that pregnancy cannot occur (like anorexic), and it becomes even less likely. Couples who are after children often have to try more than once.

Ultimately, a person has to do what is right for themselves, and sadly, they have to endure the consequences of making that decision. Very few women can have an abortion and not somehow be affected at some level. There were studies that seemed to indicate that women who had abortions were more likely to have breast and uterine cancers, but I don't remember how credible they are. Suicides and psychiatric hospitalizations seemed to be up as well for such women. And it just isn't fair. Why should a woman have to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term, especially when she shared no responsibility at all for the situation? Why should she suffer health and spiritual problems later on due to fixing an unfair situation? Life is not fair, and unfortunately, rape is a part of this fallen world, and that fact angers me.

Yes, for the most part, rape victims have access to shelters, troubled pregnancy centers, and reproductive health clinics. And sadly, not all victims have access to services to help them, and some may have to pay out of their own pocket.

Of course, in this story, maybe the issue was avoiding getting caught. If he didn't pay for the abortion, she might go to get one and get grilled about details, and he ends up in trouble. But getting caught stealing caused him to get caught anyway.
