*THE WHOLE WHOLE STORY BOUT ALAZIA ALFORD* WE LUV U ALAZIA
Body: OMAHA, Neb.-- The family of a girl shot to death Friday evening mourned and remembered on Saturday. Omaha police arrested two teenage boys for their alleged roles in the death of 6-year-old Alazia Alford Friday evening. "Someone took my little sister," said Alazia's brother, Deveon Alford. "I mean, killed my little sister." The family watched video and went through photographs of the girl's life on Saturday. They showed a fiery, feisty girl who was full of life. "My girls and her would just dance and dance and dance away," said Alazia's cousin, Kanishia Alford. "I'm (going to) be able to hear her voice forever," said cousin Ashia Alford. "But it's just going to be the same words laying over and over." "Every time she left anyone, she would always hug and kiss, always tell you that she loved you," said Kanishia Alford. "She was a very loving little girl -- very precious 6-year-old girl that didn't deserve this." Witnesses to Friday's shooting reported hearing five gunshots in the area near 14th and Spencer around 5 p.m. Friday. Then, they said, they saw a gray car driving erratically. When it pulled over, they could see the back window of the car had been shot out. "They picked the girl up and put her on the ground out of the car, started trying to revive her, saying,'She's been shot, she's been shot,'" said Ronald Jackson. Chuck Oldham did CPR on Alford. "When I tried to get her to breathe, I heard the gurgling in her stomach. I was pretty sure she was gone then," said Oldham, who was extremely somber after the ordeal. He lives in the area and immediately ran to help. Neighbors said two other people were slightly wounded by gunshots, including 19-year old Maya Mack, who was hit in the hand, and 17-year-old Breanna Russ, who was grazed by a bullet. Alford was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died. Allen Merritt, father of the 6-year-old, said everyone called her "Le Le." Merritt was still trying to gather details of the violence as he rushed to University of Nebraska Medical Center Friday night. "It's my baby, man. It's my daughter. It's my heart," Merritt said. He said Alford was shot once on the chest and the bullet went through her body. The girl was a first-grade student at Omaha's Saratoga Elementary School. "My baby -- she resting," Merritt said. "She in a better place, but I can't be at ease about that. I can't lie to you. I can't be at ease about that." Omaha police arrested Jordan M. Goodwin, 14, of Omaha, late Friday night. Goodwin was booked into the Douglas County Youth Center for criminal homicide and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Investigators called him their principle suspect. Shortly after Goodwin's arrest, a felony arrest warrant was issued for Michael Coleman, 19, of Omaha. Around 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Coleman turned himself into Omaha police headquarters. He was booked on a charge of first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Omaha police Officer Bill Dropinski said Coleman is the second principle suspect involved in the homicide of Alford and felony assaults of Mack and Russ. Dropinski said additional charges are pending as the Douglas County attorney continues to review the investigation. A Nebraska Medical Center representative said on Saturday that a fight took place outside the emergency room Friday night. The representative said that while it did involve someone who had come to visit Alazia, he apparently attacked someone who was there dropping off another person unrelated to the shooting.

Is this the little girl whose mother is in jail, who was sobbing brokenheartedly, penitently during the televised interview? Can someone go minister to her? Is there any way she can attend the funeral or at least have a videotape of it and a flower from the casket for some closure?

One of the mother's comments especially struck me: "If I had been there, this would not have happened." I thought about that fact, that the little girl might have been home with Mom instead of sitting in a car somewhere.

God hears your cries...keep asking Him for comfort. May your story help keep other mothers at home with their children.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS! AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTOEN!
MISSING YOU
It seems like just yesterday I talked to you over the phone
O’ girl how I wish you could just come back home I still have our last conversation playing over and over in my head
O’ how I wish I could have told you I loved you before you rested your head
Everyday I sit and think of the things we once had
And I just wanted to let you know that I loved you more even when you made me mad
You were my heart and you still are
And I know your watching over me from a far
Words can’t explain how I’m feeling now that your gone
I mean you were happy, full of life and head strong
Everytime I look at your pictures, I swear I cry O’ how I wish I didn’t have to say goodbye.
You will be missed and you will always live within me
Alazia I love you, Rest in Peace.-love ashia-
