It it a sin and a shame that in times like these, there are still individuals that hide their hatred for the color of another man's skin behind badges and uniforms. Where is the intregity and honor that was pledged in the oath that you gave to honor, protect and defend ? Your hatred of one man's skin color, wisked away the adored life of a husband a father a son a brother an uncle a friend and a mentor. God created this special being in the Heavens and so joyfully gifted him to us. You explain to God WHY you so wrecklessly took him away from us!

Do you really have to go there and make this a racial thing? Come one now not one time did they say because he was a black man we shot him, but they did say he tried to hit an officer with his car after he was already caught doing something wrong and the officers felt threated for there lives. What would you have done just let him run over you? I don't think so. I mean the people who have to throw race into the situation are the racist ones themselves and I think you need to set that aside and move on. I am sure God would not like to know that you are judging this officers decision whom is highly trained to perform his job daily in order to protect and serve our county so why would he not protect himself if he is going to put his life on the line and protect everyone else. Yeah it is tragic that he lost his life and I am sure his family is suffering I am not doubting that but before you judge someone you might want to really sit back and watch before speaking.

If you make the decision as a law enforcement officer to use your weapon, you do not shoot to kill, shoot to wound, etc. You shoot to "stop the aggression" what ever that is. Let's say someone has broken into your house, they have you at gun point, knife point, etc. Someone saw them break in and hear your screams and call 911. Law enforcement responds. Do you want them to shoot the tire out on the criminals auto first if they have one? Then after disabling the car and upon entry do you want them to shoot to wound the criminal or take a center of mass shot and try to stop the aggression?

Interesting how with the investigation not complete you have the piercing insight to know the internal motivations of a man you never met and subscribe his motivations to racism. I am thinking if you are judging this without all the facts what are you basing your judgement on. Only one thing comes to mind, the officers are white so it must be racist. Who is the racist now?

One thing we do know for sure is that the AREA has some racial issues...Right Wrong or Incorrect there are problems in the Douglasville Austell Mabelton and Powder Springs area....These people use this forum to post their opinions and show how color coded they are...Thats why Disaster came and continues to harbor in this area...Karma based on the your color coded opinions left you swimming trying to find your family pictures and the blankets your mama's made for you...

When you see blue lights behind you that means STOP, it dont mean drive like crazy risk other people life while you are trying to get away. The person that was shoot would still be alive today if he would have complied with the officers and not tried to get away. But as always guilty people try to run and hide and blame everyone else for there mistakes. And for you Obama remark that you made you really showed how damn stupid you are. To all of the black people living in the past get over what happened more than 200 years ago and move foward. Maybe then and only then can we come together as one nation.

In regards to the use of the "spotlight" you can take it as a fact from me that during the times I was traveling from Wake Forest NC back to Tallapoosa, GA I his this happen in NC,SC, GA multiple times. It is a pipeline for drug movement thus the enforcement action. In regards to the way "Earl Lee" ran the ship when he was Sheriff you can damn well rest assured that the criminal element thought twice about coming into Douglas County to ply their trade. Just because a law enforcement agency enforces the law strictly does not mean the members of that agency are "crooks". I am not saying there are not sorry members of the law enforcement community by any stretch of the mind, but do not include all members with that wide stroke of the brush. As far as the lawsuit, that is pretty common in a case like this to happen. Only time will tell the outcome. In regards to your next post I hear your complaint but will take it with a grain of salt as I only have your side of the story. As far as the show of force, well what kind of response would you expect on that type call?? The boy scouts??

well yeah there are alot of criminal elements in douglas county, and earl lee damn sure fixed that…except one element,my uncle who could go home on the weekends for a price, and thats a fact john! if my aunt payed up he could leave for the weekend…and as far as nc and sc i drive to winston salem every weekend and ive never had a spotlight shined in my drivers window, are they expecting to see drugs in my window? its no secret what there looking at and thats the driver,so tell me what the criteria is for a stop after they see my face? is it race? gender? what?????? what could possibly raise a red flag at looking at my face at 70 mph? it dangerous as hell…how could you argue that looking for drugs is more important than blinding someone on i20,same as the man who was killed…it was more important to catch him dead or alive!!!!

I'm years late but better late than never right?!
What this didnt reveal was that the officer didnt try and call our family and say "Sorry to say this but your father, son, uncle, brother...." My brothers and I were looking for our father! We had to find out from a friend that our dads car is on the news? & He could possibly be dead?! My dad wasn't killed on the spot! We could've been by his side! What was the hold up? officers trying to get their story together!! And the best thing those f*#% could come up with was he tried to run them over?! I didnt buy it!!! my dad was a family man! Had A baby girl who hadnt yet turned one and you honestly think he'd give it all up to run someone over? Please! Don't flatter yourself!

My dad hit a dog once. I insisted that we kept going! However, he stopped to make sure it was okay. Although I thought he was crazy and should get in the car he did what was necessary for that dog until it was back on ALL fours!
The HEART BREAK!
Everyday waking up thinking that my dad died alone really hurt my heart. Just knowing that we had time to see him talk to him one last time! And we couldn't we weren't giving that option. And Though I agree, Race plays a huge part in this! I won't go on about how! That would be an insult to your intelligence!
