Labor Secretary Jim Garner said Friday that the Kansas economy is starting to show the effects of rising energy prices and trouble in the credit markets.

We can thank Governer Seblius for the loss of jobs and rising energy prices by vetoing two coal fired electric generator plants and the first new refinery to be build in Kansas. We havn't build a refinery in the U.S. for over 30 years.

These projects would have brought billions of dollars to the Kansas economy and many very well paying jobs and reduced electricity costs to Kansas and other residents.

She is in the tank for the environmentalists. I am for the environment, but a lot of negative propaganda against the modern processing of coal has been spewed out there.
