Will the Headlight run an article that quotes the Judge's decision that refutes the comments by Cobos and Batts?

My opinion is that the Headlight will continue to REFRAIN from any negitive publicity concerning their beloved LCSO. You will find it in the Albq. Journal or the news on TV, but not in the Deming Headlight. It is what it is.

This afternoon Judge Brack granted the Rick, Terri and Ryin Reese a new trial.

Judge Brack stated in his opinion that the government either intentionally or negligently suppressed evidence that could easily have altered the outcome of the trial.

The judges order can be read here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/123390298/Reese-Ord...

A must read for those interested in what the judges order said .

How can a luna County Sheriff detective be on a narcotics task force when he is under investigation by the FBI for the very things he is fighting against? Why are others in the LCSO under investigation still getting promotions?

Alleged liars, an FBI investigation that was NEVER finished. How nice that is for the LCSO to have apathy abound in agencys that are investigating them. Friends in high places or did they just oops did not do their job. The government has all their stuff and most likley most of it is sold or in the hands of others, the bill that the government rang up with a 100 officers and the FBI and storing and destroying all of their possessions. They may have sold most of it and picked it over already, are they going to justify this to save face? How does one correct an error of this size? God bless America

GOD BLESS America, is right. Luna county is so full of corruption it is scary and disgusting. The only place in America that has a judicial system that forces people to remove their belts to enter the courtroom. The only court system that has a judge that removes courtroom observers for talking, crying, and whatever in order to ensure no witnesses for the sentencing. The judicial system that has a defense attorney who tells his clients to 'plead guilty.' A defense attorney is suppose to defend, not in Luna County.

This should be in the Deming Headlight. Two of the Sheriffs department boys are under investigation. Is the Headlight not allowed to report what is going on in the LCSO? Fair reporting I think not.

The ''LCSO'' is not off the hook for alleged suppression of evidence in the Reese case. The write up in the Luna county tea party patriots is a copy of the hearing that was conducted in the last week. public information, hummm wonder why the headlight has not printed this. Its is better to talk about the LCSO getting a new building and supervising tours of the stock yard near mexico. switch and bait.
