Listening for the truth... I personally know these 2 people.. they are very good hearted people... why dont you go and ask them the questions that you have for them instead of hiding behind a computer screen.. Im sure one or even both of them would be more than happy to answer question that you might have for them... Or are you not brave enough to talk to them in person??.. Some people always believe everything(trashtalk) that others have to say instead of going straight to the person.

Can anyone give good reasoning why?
VOLUNTEERS they MAY be --- BUt the DODDRIDGE COUTY COMMISSION OWNS THE EQUIPMENT and PAYS THE INSURANCE.

The $$$ for the fuel and upkeep on the units to include wear and tear is coming out of the DCAA INCOME from runs ----- MONEY that SHOULD be given to the COMMISSION.

Do believe DCAA is being compensated and a profit is being made way over the costs. Tammy why not move someplace where you would be happy?

Farm Boy, How can they say a profit is being made when they do not know their own costs? A member of the DCAA Board has openly said they hope to be making enough.

Gee, really wow, some one must have touched your close existence. Why would it matter if you talk to them or not. It is property owned and paid for by the people of doddridge. Fom what I read on another post, if it's true, they need to keep the units in dodd. loolllllll

The DCAA IS making $$$$--- Especially since the CC is paying ALLL PAYROLL payroll costs and bennies ----

BTW -- Tammy was happy the way things were -- even though our county had the 6th HIGHEST TAX RATE in the STATE BEFORE the additional expenses attached with the DCAA!!!!(Those who were so UNHAPPY with the services should have moved!!!!)

Gotta get Jerry out, but The some of the same people who are campaigning for Jerry are campaigning for Bowen. That is a little fishy if you ask me. Don't know if Bowen can be trusted now.

Hey here we go again... this is what I was posting on...Im not going to argue about who the ambulances, supplies, etc belongs to.. Im saying if Listening for the truth wants to know anything about the "ones who live in Tyler" then they need to go to them and ask them those questions... Seems to me that someone thinks they know about my friends when obviously they dont know anything... As fas it goes, what business is it of anyones where they worked before... GET A LIFE

in my opinion if the aa employees that work the race track are such wonderful volonteers do they fill up gas tanks from their own pocket?
pay the county milage for using county property outside of doddridge county?
give all the profits, that babs mentioned, to the county commission that they get from working the race track for the aa payroll?
just something i wonder about

Ok i am very very confused here. If someone could help me out with this i would be greatly appreciated it. Its ok for the DCAA to go out of county and help with other county events, however when it was only the DCEMS it was a cardinal sin to do just that thing?? Heck i thought the DCAA was created because the DCEMS failed to respond on several calls and was abusing their power..........Like i said i am soo confused.

IMO the "Cord" needs cut and the DCAA needs to be let lose to fend for themselves. They have previously stated that they could make it on their own....

Personally I don't mind them going on transports as long as it keeps me from having to pay their salaries. As long as they have at least two crews in station and two ambulances for Emergency calls and one for transports that is fine...As long as i don't have to pay for them being there....

Also, IMO My3CentsWorth is right on the money wanting to know where every cent of our tax dollars are going. After all it is OUR tax dollars that is paying for THEIR funds.

If the DCEMS can make it on their own and be able to buy and afford insurance on 11 units why couldn't the AA do the same thing?

Also like I said in a different post on a different topic. The DCEMS still recives at least 2 Emergency calls a day. More on some days and less on other days, but totals out to be two a day. That equals 62 Citizens that want the DCEMS and not the AA. Minus 20 for repeat callers. That totals 42 callers a month. And according to DCEMS BOD they have at least 1 transport a day. Some days more some days less but a total of at least 1 a day. And that is their revenue.

If the DCEMS can do the same thing the DCAA is saying they are doing then why are we still paying for them via our tax dollars? And the DCEMS has more units to insure and more units to stock.

So again. Why are OUR tax dollars still paying for them if one EMS agency can make it why can't the other agency make it??????????

Had the CC given financial assistance to the DCEMS when they told the CC that they needed help instead of the CC accusing the DCEMS of financial mismanagement the DCAA wouldn't exist today --- and our county wouldn't be facing financial ruin today!

I resent the FACT that we are bleeding out the tax dollars to pay for the DCAA when they are having to add extra crews to make their "other out of county committments" instead paying ONLY for the crews that are necessary to provide EMERGENCY SERIVCES to DC Citizens.

But my questions are why was the DCAA discussing JAN CARE @ their meeting the other night ---- and WHEN WILL THEY BEGIN TO TURN IN THEIR FINANCIAL REPOTS to the COMMISSION and disclose just how much they are making and costing us!

If I am not mistaken, not all of the cc members "want" to pay for the AA's salaries and benefits - the one hold-out is "held captive" to the other two who also brought us taking away our right to vote and the latest fiasco - actions that have resulted in being sued by EQT and by our own citizens in the Summers/Oxford area. It is difficult to know whether to laugh or cry these days!

I do find it odd that the DCEMS would have been chastised if they were to have been taking their ambulances to out-of-county car races and/or football games. And yet they were very much self-funded, not doing it on our tax dollars.

Yet here we have an organization (DCAA) which was subsidized via a million plus of our tax payer dollars and loans to set up shop...only to have the bulk of their "business" being conducted outside the county and via our 600K per year continued county subsidy of their salaries!

Would be interesting to get a list of the hourly rates paid to their EMT and Paramedics at the DCAA (no names, just rates) and compare it to other EMTs and Paramedics elsewhere.

And what's this about a "retreat" for the board? And is the DCAA still wanting to charge the county commission $1000 to get their records even when they are "owned" by the county, so to speak? The county commission should know every little detail of their finances, and NOT have to pay to find out!! Gets stranger every day, don't it?
