Celeita Kramer, the name conjures ups problems and fraud. She is not a 501c3, the IRS does not have any of her businesses listed.

Read the investigation.

We very nearly got sucked into her foolishness when we moved to the county...thank God I research EVERYTHING.
The woman exists in her own world...and the horses suffer.

Were you literate I would converse with you.

The Bard said it best.

"If you spend word for word with me, I shall make your wit bankrupt."

Umm..since I'm sure you have no clue as to whom the bard was...look it up.

go to the WV Sec. of Stste and request a form on which to register a complaint about 'Charities'. Since Celeita has been operating in WV as a 'charity' for a dozen or more years, they should be looking into the matter. Even if she is too small potatoes for the IRS to bother with, perhaps WV cares??

Recently I dealt with her while adopting aminiature horse. The little guy was clearly unhealthy yet she kept telling me he checked out fine. i took him in because I knew in my heart he would not survive in Celietas care. Within a few months he'd gained weight and was so healthy. I have him in a large pasture that borders a roadway. A driver by saw him and came to my door. She told me that Sam was her horse that she had adopted him from Celieta about a year ago she said one weekend when she was out of town neighbors reported to her seeing 2 men loading him into a grey horse trailer. She adopted him for a $250.00 adoption fee...i paid $350. I believe Celieta kept him listed even after he was adopted and once she got a adopter at a higher price snuck in and took the horse then adopted him to me. this woman is a lunatic I fear for the horses in her care.

Tresspassing is criminal & she can not take a horse back witout taking you to court 1st. Just posted on the other thread about this, it is a "Civil Matter" & has to be dealt with by the court....NOT HER.

lol ..maybe because she's ex-military, she figures she can declare "martial law" and go on anyone's property and confiscate their horses that she sold them? I (thank goodness) have had no dealings with the organization, but after seeing this topix thread resurface now and then, I "goggled" it. OMG ..the stuff I read is unbelievable!

And, since I've had no direct dealings, and am not a horse owner, I will just watch with interest from the sidelines and hope that whatever is wrong gets corrected.

Dunno if it's a bad as everyone says that it is on their posts, but all I can say is.... if it is, then it appears that the gal has located herself in the correct county for this kind of shennanigans to go on unchecked. IMO

It's quite typical of the kind of blatant disregard for the law that is an apparent way of life for many of the people in this county who are in positions of authority and influence here in Doddridge. She's in good company. lol

IRS Charites main page search:
http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/

Crossed Sabers Stable aka, Second Wind Adoption Program aka, Moutain State Horse School & Second Wind

Choose her alias, ya wont find her. We called & personally spoke with them & she has never registered & never has been given a tax exempt status.

She was forced to register the actual business "Crossed Sabers" back in Sept of "08" because I wrote & called in giving them all the info (she says they even showed up at the farm, LOL).

I started a different thread about where to search nonprofit information online. 990's are interesting reading! lol

Hey, if you wanted to start a scam "nonprofit" wouldn't you do it here also? Perfect environment for it.

hmmmm ... now it's got me thinking about starting up an exotic pet rescue operation or something. lol

No wait ... I got a better idea, instead of going the "non-profit" private entity route. I'll use the government system instead ! Just like most of the good ol' boys and gals do around here for their form of "elite" welfare programs used to their advantage. I'll find a grant, apply for it with a couple friends, get the money, and hire myself as the director with a nice salary to oversee the grant program. Isn't that how it's often done around here? Or so I've been told. lol

If this keeps up, the population in Doddridge will double when folks start flocking here to jump on the bandwagon of opportunity. lol

I just saw that she is having a benefit trail ride. Huh, maybe someone will get hurt on her property & sue her.
Seeing the light

I have finally seen the light when it comes to this rescue. The trail ride was not at her property, it was at a volunteers neighbor. It was a great time. Anyhow; after 7 years I have had enough abuse and accusations. She goes through a 30 gal trash can of grain a feeding for 18 or less horses. Many of them are fat and over fed. They are being fed so much at at time that many don't even finish, so when they are let out then back in if a fat horse goes into the stall of one that doesn't finish it gets that grain plus more. She is now down to 2 volunteers. The farm has been put up for sale. But she still continues to take in animals, when she claims she can barely afford to feed them. But who in their right mind would pay 230 k for a barn that is a hazard, I shit pile the same size of the barm, a crap arena, fence, that it a miracle no ones been hurt in, plus a house that has been ravished by dogs, as well as having a permanent dog pee smell. Gee it would cost you at least 10 k to fix it up. Hopefully some one who knows how to run a business will step in and try to fix it. I have even spoke to a finance manager who said it's a miracle that she's still in business and hasn't had the pants sued off of her.

If all of this is true then why is this place not shut down? I just find it hard to believe. I have clicked on a few links that supposedly have proof and when you click on it..it doesn't say anything.

Have donated money..donate money from horse she adopted out for me. Now he is dead.never investigated. She constantly berates people.and makes you feel like crap.when you donate you never get a tax drductable sheet. What makes me mad is she constantly wants money to pay off her mortgage ....thats not the rescue business.Get off your ass and get a job and.pay your own house payment your donations should be for the horses.not your house..
