I just saw on WBOY that the verdict in trial of the out of state oil field worker who killed the Mon Co. Deputy, could come at any time.

I watched one of these pieces of garbage jump out of his truck and start cussing an old woman a while back! I heard some guy down on 18 south managed to get one on video jumping out of his truck making threats.
I wish the law would lock them all up.

He will be sentenced later this year. He is facing up to forty years in prison for the third degree murder charge. The jury also returned guilty verdicts to charges of homicide while DUI, homicide while violating the vehicle code, fleeing while DUI, DUI above .16, speeding, and duty in an emergency response area.

Wow! Hope it sends a message to others coming here to work from out of state that we don't take kindly to any drinking/driving and drug use endangering our citizens.

25 to 50 years in PA, then WV reserves the option to go after him in our state!

That's better than nothing, but our deputy will never be coming home! I think this bastard should be hung from his drilling rig, with his out of state trash buddy's being forced to watch!

I saw where a Gas Company from Ohio was arrested for drug possession with intent to deliver, here in Doddridge last week. This don't surprise me in the slightest.

What is worrysome is that along with the drugs comes the crime. The workers who are under the influence and causing accidents on the job. And possibly getting our kids exposed to more drug availability. And then there is the potential for violence because of some well worker hopped up on drugs. I have heard rumor that there are A LOT of druggies on the front lines some are flaggers and some tanker drivers. Are they drug-screened on a regular basis. Do we have a tip line to call when we suspect drug-related problems in the country. What kind of oversight is the industry giving when they hire these people and do they do background checks? Many of these workers are transient -- earning huge paychecks, but living out of state from their homes and with little opportunity for recreation outside of the long shifts. And they make plenty of money to afford the drugs for their own personal use. Read on the internet. A ton of articles from other drilling states discussing the drug problem that comes with the industry.
