Feb DCAA Meeting Questions

i saw in the agenda that babs will be armed with ''the letter'' at this meeting
this is going to be intresting

are they planning at this meeting to....

burn commissioner robinson at the stake?

build gallows and hang commissoner robinson?

or use the $158k to rent couple lions and do the roman arena thing?

hope they got extra seating, because this is one meeting not to be missed

just my opinion as a amused lifelong doddridge county taxpaying resident

from what i saw so far
takes a while, thanks to frontier's $89. bundle of joy, bait and switch plan that only cost $156.00 per month, they understood
just try to get around cutting expenses by playing confused

they currently admit having 25 employees
thats at least 6 more than they admitted to having last fall

do they really need 25 employees to run 2 crews 24/7 emergency runs?

just wonderimg from disgruntaled taxpayer

1. Why is it that any reduction in budget is immediately met with “How much is one life worth?” Using that rationale, the county should supply the DCAA with a helicopter to get any / all patients to the hospital faster. Then again, the county would be better off building a hospital with a Level One Trauma Center, since the entire state only has two. Of course that suggestion would be rebuffed by the DCAA, however it is the same logic that they are using when it comes to reducing their expenses. If the board members are uncomfortable in making financial decisions in areas related to human life, then maybe they should resign.

2. Did Barb Knight openly admit on tape (Part II, 8 minutes 30 seconds) to holding discussions on DCAA topics in a closed setting?“I know one of the things we talked about after the meeting was over is that um there are some problems with the personnel handbook…” Am I the only one that caught that comment? Am I the only one that has an issue with certain members of the DCAA Board having PRIVATE conversations that are not open to the public and all members of the board?

i keep replaying over and over again
they all act like the word budget is from some other language they cant comprehend

i like babs saying she thought the county commission would give her lump sum so she can distribute it herself

i think that excellent idea

give her enough to staff 2 ambulances 24/7

let her take rest of dcaa wages out of the profit from all the transports and racetrack that are paid for with my tax money that is never mentioned

just my opinion as a cheap old doddridge county taxpaying resident

What are your thoughts on Sandora and Robinson and their conversations--should they be open to the public also.

I seriously doubt Mr. Sandora and Mr. Robinson are attempting to hold meetings and / or set county policy behind closed doors. If you know something factual to the contrary, put your name behind your claim and come forward with your information.

The entire DCAA Board seems to be in over their head and are at best, flailing. If a member of the board feels overwhelmed, they should show some character, admit their deficiency and resign. However, we all know their ego will not allow that to happen. Watching Barb Knight at the meeting would have been humorous, if it weren’t so sad. She claims to be an accountant, but the comments she made, makes me truly question her qualifications.

I encourage the DCAA to take a lump sum, to be completely responsible for the fund. However, if they fail, they should be held accountable and forced to file for bankruptcy, instead of running to the county. Then, and only then, do I suspect the DCAA Board would realize the seriousness of the issue. They act as if the funds spent are Monopoly money, but if their butt were actually on the line, maybe then they would act responsibly.

watched the dcaa meeting utube again
amazing that the dcaa board of directors can't comprehend that it is requested that they submit their payroll budget, and ways to cut excess spending from payroll

one way i can think of is take a close look at their name
they are the doddridge county ambulance athority, not the doddridge county ambulance athority and transport company

if do away with the transport business then they can save money with out, as ms arnold says'' putting a price on peoples lives''

sure there may be layoffs, i have been laid off before, and survived
so will the surplus employees of the dcaa&t

just the opinion of a taxpayer who is too stoopid to live, but stays within my budget
