Quite possibly. But I venture to say that if that happens, it will cost Bowen more votes than Robinson in the November faceoff. And, I also would predict that a lot of dems will cross over and vote for the republican to help out as they did in Nov. 2010. Many don't like the shenanigans behind a move like that either and many have suspiscions of who is really backing the dem candidate from the JackPack.
Tim Bowen is not backed by the "JACKPACK" as you put it. He is a man who believes in Doddridge County and wants to make it a better place to live. He has experience in obtaining grants, superivising employees, and would be an excellent choice for County Commissioner. Greg Robinson would also be an excellent choice for this office. That said, I feel their of these candidates will work for what is best for Doddridge County, its residents and the taxpayers ... I do not believe that either of these candidates will be receiving support from the "JackPack".

I have read the Doddridge Co. Topix and some others, which leads me to believe changes will be made in the future.

My best regards to all.

This county is so predictable... To all those who normally vote for anyone who is republican is just insane. Especially this day and age. It's not about what party they are with anymore. Just because a person is republican or democrat doesn't make them the right candidate. Bottom line is you can't trust what someone says during election cause most of the time they have no clue what their responsibilities in office will be. Just because someone has experience in the financial department is not going to mean that they can bring this county out of the hole it is in. Wake up people!!!!!!! Financial responsibilities in only a part of the job of CC. Can they run a county and make smart choices on their own without influence of outside forces? Not only that but they will also be representing our county. We need someone in office that isn't an idiot and has a back bone to stand up for what is right even if that means losing some so called friends.
Me thinks you should be directing this post to Mr. Bowen. Especially the part about "can they run a county and make smart choices on their own without influence of outside forces?"
Rumor has it that Perry Ferguson was behind getting Bowen to run...and with Jack's blessing. Plus, he has some sort of medical supply/insurance business. Hope DCAA isn't one of his business associations.

First of all ---- A County Commissioner doesn't have to be experienced in EVERY AREA covered woth his job -- BUT -- he/she HAS to be smart enough to get assistance from outside sources when they KNOW don't have the education or experience to make good, sound choices!!!!

Being a County Commissioner isn;t like running a prison -- It is not a dictatorship with the Commission sitting at the helm ---

MOST of the county employees are NOT under the control of the Commission -- ONLY the contract workers, the janitors and a very few others with the rest being hired and fired by each elected official that they follow under or agency they were hired by ---

So, the very basis of the Commission is to watch over and control the spending of the tax $$$ in the county, control the elections --- AND they need to be able to READ AND UNDERSTAND the LAWS, ORDINANCES and RULES they place on us ----

But as for the RUMORS that you are hearing --- I am NOT deaf and have heard the exact same thing --Like you, I hope his medical supply co isn;t tied to the DCAA ---
you crack me up

I know the qualifications of being a County Commissioner and all I am saying is that isn't all about budgets, taxes, expenses. The job requires a lot of knowledge in several areas. They also manage the employees at the court house as well as over see many other functions in this county. Just because you have a back ground in accounting doesn't mean you would be a good County Commission. Common sense goes along way as well. You work for the people of this county, which means you must be a people person. You throw out the Bowen having a medical supply business.. What about Robinson's ties with the EMS? It's a small county and more than likely every one has ties to something in this county. Personally, I feel it is about how you handle all the tasks at hand. Robinson didn't go door to door because it was tax season.. What is he going to do next year if elected during tax season? Put the county on hold? You have to be able to manage your time. It will be very interesting to see what unfolds in this County over the next several months. Forget who they are affiliated with or who is behind the candidate. Look at who the candidate really is not what they want you to see.

Let's be serious; at least Jerry Evans is gone. He may have been the most incompetant person ever elected anywhere at any time.

They DO NOT manage the court house employees -- that is up to EACH INDV. office --- They DO manage those they hire ---

As for Greg's schd. for taxes -- I am SURE that he will allow time in his busy schd. to attend the necessary meetings a few hours each week -- unlike spending days traveling up and down the hollows of Dc to camapign so it is NOT a time management tn=hing at all --

Yes, who IS Tim Bowen REALLY?????(Greg Robinson has been around here for years --- and most of us know him to be fair and just -- with a lot of common sense b/c we have actually dealt with him)

Might want to reconsider your approach. Robinson didn't campaign as much as he'd have liked during tax season. BUT county commission meetings (which are not full time campaigning) are held every other week and THAT won't be a problem for him. Considering that Jerry slept through many of the meetings, it is amazing that anyone would have your concerns. HA !
And Bowen was better qualified to run for sheriff (check his bio) yet he made mention that dispite that, he didn't run for sheriff because it would interfere with his "day job" the medical supply/insurance business. So what is your point?

This getting interesting and I love every.

Should an evaluation be completed on each candidate's application for each office? I don't believe that would help in some situations.

Because if an evaluation would have been prior to Jerry's------Not hard to complete.
