He isn't suffering from disorders, he's a sexual predator starting out on his career. Lock him up & be done with it.

So this 19 year old is supposed to have a monitor with him at all times? Maybe there is a better place for him than public school. The school cant fix every problem.
Was she monitoring him at all times when he was not in school?

Blame the school.........that's right...blame someone else. Typical of someone who could have intervened with some discipline, respect for others, teaching right-or-wrong, values, and on and on !

I have a special ed son and he was on the school bus with an aide and 15 other students. He was having behavioral problems on the bus and the school system decide to pay me to take him to school.

They should arrange for this not to happen. Neither of them should suffer from this. It is awful enough that it happen because of lacking of supervision.

I pray everyday that this situation not to happen to me.

They are special ed students not regular students. I can talk for my son that is autistic and tell you that no matter how much you try to teach him this values, he can't understand them. This apply to most of the special ed students.

If parents are held accountable for their child's truancy, why can't this mom being held accountable for not monitoring her child while on the bus and at school? She wants to blame the school, but responsibility would more appropriately fall upon the parents. If she was aware that her child had issues with this type of behavior, and she chose to continue to send him to the public school where he would come into contact with so many other children, I believe she then has a responsibility to those children to ensure that her child is kept at a safe distance away from them.
Sexual predators can not be rehabilitated. This has been proven time and time again. They continue their behavior after release from treatment, prision, mental institutions. Usually escalating to such crimes as murder in an attempt to cover up their original crime. This predator needs to be stopped here and now.

Of course the mom has to blame someone.. She will probably be suing next herself. If the kid canít understand and will put others at risk he needs to be placed in a institution where he cant assault someone else. How do we expect the public school system to handle and monitor children like this? People like thisdo not need to be around our children.

Interesting - the predator's mom says her son suffers from a "laundrylist of disorders" but none are listed. I don't feel any sympathy for this kid or his mother. It makes me sick that SHE knew of the earlier incident, yet left it completely up to the school and the school board to deal with it. Why wasn't SHE sitting on the bus monitoring HER child, whom she happens to know is a pedophile?

I would like to comment on my earlier post...not all parents do this and I don't want it to come across that way. I think (per the best of my observations) that most people do support the schools and thier child's teachers; however, SOME people, when things go wrong, they turn to the schools for a scapegoat.

When did parenting become the school boards problem!!! Kolby Harris' mother is the one to blame. Or in their own words "the real culprit" for not taking action for her OWN child's disciplinary needs!!

Why should "they" pay you to take your own son to school? "They" should arrange for anything people need to take care of their own childs needs!

okay so why did this mom send her son to school knowing there was something wrong. Thats like an employer knowing the guy filling out an application to work at a daycare likes to molest little children. Wake up, you live with your son and know he has problems so why send him to school. keep him out of school and get him the help he needs. blows my mind how your saying it was the schools fault cause they didnt listen to your warnings.... the victim still has to live with what happened to him. Tsk Tsk to this woman who calls herself a "mother". shame on you. I hope she doesnt have any other children.

I'm behind the scenes. I wish I could tell the true story of what 'acually' happeneded because it is really eating away at me, which was absolutly nothing on that bus! When the trial is all over maybe I can come forward to tell the actual true story so you people can quit thinking "oh this poor 9 y/o boy" and the mom.
