I am glad there was no will. So none of his girlfriends can get anything. The wife deserves everything.

i should not be surprised at the hate on mechelle but i am. what reason is there to ASSUME things and DEGRADE her character because she petitioned the court to be the person in charge of her HUSBAND'S and her children's FATHER's estate?? there is absolutely nothing in her doing her wifely duties that says she will NOT include the 2 sons she did not give birth to but who have been in her life since they were small children. all i see is the woman doing what is best in this difficult time to secure her rights as steve's wife. when those rights
are secured then the division of the estate can be properly achieved for all. people have no right to speak ill of this woman until they know that she is actually deserving of the comments people are making against her character. give her the benefit of the doubt that she is doing the best she can in this horrible situation her husband has thrust her into, especially while she is grieving and taking care of her confused and sad children!!!!

Correction; the state will not get MOST of the money just because McNair died intestate. It will, however, get a greater percentage of his wealth than if he had done estate planning -- if only because he could've avoided some tax issues.
And incidentally, real winner, sandy and laker's statements don't make them morons.

Yeah thank you. I was trying to figure out how saying his children deserve his money made me a moron??? Then I realized that it doesn't and that "real winner" is the "real moron"!

How can a person who earned that much money in his career not have a will? His wife should be in charge of the estate. It is not her fault he messed around. Once she gets herself back together, I am sure she will take care of everything properly.

ok, and him screwin around with a little girl has what do with him not having a will?
his cheating was all day long wrong, no one with any sense will argue that, but he still should have left a will. he made millions and has 4 children
a will would have protected them
