Yet another reason for gender-neutral marriage. Look at all the taxpayer money wasted just to determine whether to classify Mrs. Rittenberry as female or male. With gender-neutral marriage, there wouldn't even be an issue.

These gay issues are getting completely out of hand, we are nothing more than a world where anything goes. We are a world that is heading straight for Hell if something isn't done and soon.

Poor Miss California is getting hung out to dry in this thread. I can't believe what comes outta the wordwork with such a media provoked topic as this. Just another reason I don't read, watch nothing in the mainstream anymore.

Kudos to the young woman for speaking from the heart and political correctness...BE DAMNED!!!

I do not think a gay union should be called a marriage. That is where the problem is. Let churches do marriage. The government poor track record with religion. What next, we marry pets?

I think gay marriage is a good idea. if two people love eachother it shouldn't matter what their sex is. i plan on marrying my girlfriend in a few years. hopefully by then, we'll have equal rights, like everyone us. don't hate on us just because we despise dick.

Could you please tell me where in the bible it say's this kind of lifestyle is right. Gay or not it says a union between and man and woman. Also A man leaves him home and takes a wife. Nowhere does it say a man leaves for another man or a wife takes a wife. Go back into the closet and close the door.

I think in Leviticus it says that (paraphrase here), being gay is a sin.

That being said, I don't have a problem with same-sex unities; you can't help how your heart goes. I think the most important issue isn't even about people being gay together. It's about the lack of seperation of church and state. The state-federal gov. shouldn't hold people back from being about to be a union. Every couple has to apply for a marriage license (government) and many of them then are married by a preacher, priest, rabbi, etc...(church). That's 2 separate bodies requiring things.

Change the wording and I think it's very much a non-issue. The government should treat all couples the same. No matter who's with who.

Yes and I think the "laws" of Deuteronomy forbid it also. But Wait! What other "laws" are you following? Do you eat shell fish?Guilty! Stone That person!(A standard Old Testamentpenalty) Do you work on the Sabbath? Stone them! Has your daughter been a little sassy? Sell her into slavery! And so it goes.... I always wonder which of these "laws" we've been following to the letter besides the ones against Gays and the Transgendered. Furthermore, I can't speak for you, but I'm Protestant, Christian and the only testament that I follow is the new testament. It's about two thousand years old, compared to the 4-5000 year old, Old Testament.
