Well of course they voted against it. It is a common sense approach and makes perfect sense. Obviously a majority of elected official lack common sense, therefore they couldn't possibly support something that would benefit their constituents.

I find it ironic that the same people we voted in office, who said that they would do something about illegal immigration, has just voted against one of the things to get that started. I for one am very dissappointed in the way our government is running our country, makes me shudder when i think of my childrens future!

OH!! When it comes to the big mans wallet, all of a sudden illegal immigration is OK. This is the exact reason illegal immigration reform has not happened. Am I the only one who can see this? We have all cried and pleaded with our leaders for immigration reform. However, it is big business that stand in the way. They want that cheap labor.
Well, the people have seen first hand the reason we can't get immigration reform. If you believe the lies of the five commissioners that voted against this you are the fool. A lot of them around....

Most of these commissioners are business owners that use or have used illegal immigrants for their businesses. One owns buscuit king and others are owners as well. This is how they were able to get their fortunes. Pay minimum wage and use illegal immigrants. Of course they are not going to shoot themselves in the foot.
When will the people of Davidson County dummy up to the corruption there?
If this doesn't tell you nothing will... Vote out the five that voted against this ordinance. It speaks volumes to the underhanded ways they work. Get the message????????

Politicians MUST begin listening to their constituents. If they choose to ignore the voice of the public, they WILL be voted out. The times, they are a' changing!

The illegal alien problem is unsolvable. Just ask a Native American. We've been trying to deal with it for 500 years.

Whats wrong with making sure jobs are given to legal US citizens? NOTHING!!! It's a shame that this should have to come up for a vote. The laws and rules that are in place now seem to be enforced only when and if someone feels the need, or if they fit a certain agenda. The cost of "CHEAP" labor will kill this country. We are one of the most GREED driven countries in the world and look where it's gotten us.

Davidson County voters, don't forget this next time your commissioners are up for re-election. Hold them accountable. They are NOT looking out for YOUR best interests.

The quick answer is the Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Political Contributors consider United States Citizens only as units of labor and the faster we become a Third World Country the better for their bottom line! Our Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Political Contributors will not be happy until they transform the United States into a Third World Country for most of our citizens while furnishing the Chamber of Commerce and all their Elitist Special Interest Groups with their supply of cheap labor. The Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Contributors are socializing benefits to their ILLEGALS, camouflaged as welfare for United States Citizens, on the backs of United States citizens through our assets such as the Education System, Social Security, and Health Care not to mention our National Security while privatizing the profits for themselves! Again, JUST FOLLOW THE MONEY!!

Does it seem to anyone else that North Carolina's ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS are attempting to take up the slack for any ILLEGALS that lose their "jobs" from other states that want to PROTECT their CITIZENS??

Could the following article describe at least two more for CHEAP LABOR to serve the Davidson County Board of Commissioners?

I STRONGLY suggest the residents of Davidson County get intimately involved with local government quickly. It would appear some have plenty of time to do so given the local unemployment figures.

County Board of Commissioners meetings are a good place to start. Will you rise up and be heard, or sit quietly in a corner and allow yourself and your neighbors to be violated.

Choice is yours!

Another fine incompetence from the local government sector. I guess there aren't enough American CITIZENS out of work, yet.

I sadly agree with you. But I don't agree on the basis of the power of the illegal immigrant, but on that there are so many government officials, being federal, state, and even local, that are committing treason at this time.

This country truly is being destroyed from with-in.

Sorry Country Girl, I got to disagree. Look at what our government is doing to us. Please don't be fooled, it's not coming only from the White House, but from both the republicans and the democrats.

I really wonder if the November elections will make a difference. That is if we are allowed to have then. Speculation is (and this comes from DHS), that we can expect a terrorist attack near the elections. If that were to happen, then Soetoro could suspend the elections, thus, maintain power in the House and Senate.
