I think it was poor judgement on Fox8 part to list the convictions Hege had while listing the other candidates running.

Here's an idea ......compare Hege's crime rate and convictions rate for drug dealers and immigrants versus Grice's I bet there will be a big difference.

Everyone can say what they want to say ....Hege has done more out of office then Grice has done IN office.

I agree Hege done wrong ....but who hasn't ? Only difference being, he has been caught ...and the rest hasn't.....YET!

How many times must people be reminded HEGE COOKED THE CRIME STATISTICS! Out of office all Hege has done is mow yards and fix toilets for his sister.

Hege will do more without a gun then Grice has done with one. The only people who do not like Hege are the ones that are doing things that are wrong. Back when Hege was sheriff I over heard a conversation, where a bunch of rednecks did not want to come to a party because it was Hegeville. He kept the trash off the streets, period.

I agree.....even if Hege has been fixing toilets or mowing yards ....that still accounts for than what Grice has done while IN office .....

I think Grice's answer this morning on the news about what he wants to do if elected again, shows his lack of effort for the county.

So I guess that is why all these felons are in congress?

A felon is a felon....hege raped the judicial system.

B 0f E 10, where have you been? Hege has killed before. In 1973 he shot (murdered, some say) Leonard Perkins. Hege supporters have such short memories.

You've also made a valid point. Fixing toilets and mowing grass is Hege's calling. He should stick with it.

I do beg your pardon..........I've never been on the "wrong" side of the law, never been convicted of anything illegal. You shouldn't make blanket statements about people who don't "like" Hege are the ones doing things that are wrong. The Sheriff's job is not about popularity or self-promotion, it's about being a professional law man, possessing integrity and being honest in his dealings with the public. "Protect and Serve", obeying the laws sworn to uphold, not breaking the law to suit his own interests. The entire country is watching this primary in Davidson County. God help us all if the ignorant fools vote him back in.

If you watched channel 8 this am, the ONLY race in the whole area was the sheriff's(republican) race in Davidson County. The disgusting part was the constant repitition of the same info over & over & over. Shannon Smith had a script that she read from
every time the news went to her in Davidson County. Reminds me of Channel 2.

I dont care who wins as long as Grice is gone when its over he is a neighbor of mine we live a couple miles apart and I can tell you he has the get up and go of a box turtle draggin a school bus . He only wants a job he really dont care about any thing else he dont even know what the word aggressive means. I think anyone of the other options would be a better choice.

All this talk about the sheriff of rural Davidson County and not much about the possible US senator for the entire state. I wonder how many people on this forum voted.

It's interesting how so many people claim to be upset about the government, but will not vote for reasons X, Y and Z, but when they do vote it is based off of who has the "best commercials" (who is most visible). I know this does not apply to some on here.

I guess these bleeding hearts that say Hege should be forgiven wouldn't mind if we forgave the child molesters and put them in charge of the local daycares? Hmmm, food for though. "ABH" - "Anybody_But_Hege"

Also I have a clean record, just don't like the man. And I know that I am not perfect, but I am not a felon trying to run for office either!
