$36 million beach nourishment project in Nags Head completed

The last of about 4.6 million cubic yards of sand was pumped onto an Outer Banks beach this morning, completing one of the country's largest locally-funded beach nourishment projects.
That was worth it.
And now the sand is going into Oregon Inlet so we can spend more money to dredge the inlet. Makes sense to me. LOL!
