How many times do we have to read about these kinds of stories with Pits and irresponsible owners. I am so sick of them saying that other dogs bite more... when was that last time you heard about a Lab or a Golden killing someone or another dog?

In this case responsible home owners leave their own dogs fenced properly and with a doggie door to escape the heat/cold and Pits enter the fenced area chase the dogs into their home and kill the lab... AND the Pit owner whose dog was running loose gets her dogs back no problem. horrible.

Anyway here is a link to the article: http://hamptonroads.com/2009/01/two-pit-bulls...

Also here is a picture link to Pit owners myspace where you can see the Pits who killed this dog. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm...

I think that pit bulls get a bad rap! Its not the dog it's the owner!

Dachshund. Yes, the sausage dog is most likely to bite strangers and its owners.

Chihuahua. These are big dogs in a little package, and none are afraid to tell you so. Chihuahuas are very likely to bite strangers and owners.

Jack Russell Terrier. These feisty little dogs are also quick to nip. They have a tendency to try to nip at strangers and family members.

Australian Cattle Dog. This breed is great to have around the home, but you must be careful; they are herding dogs, which means they are very likely to nip family and strangers.

American Cocker Spaniel. A common breed in many homes in the United States, this dog does have tendencies to nip and bite at owners.

Beagle. Another family favorite, beagles seem to nip and bite at their families.

There are other breeds, like the Akita and Pit Bull Terrier, which are more prone to trying to nip or bite other dogs or animals.

Very well stated! I agree that it's not the dog it's the owner, people need to be responsible for their dogs whether it's a lab or a pit bull they have no business running loose able to bite or attack other animals or people!!

My question is, what makes this woman trash? Her dogs did something bad, no one knows why but, all the same they did. From looking at her myspace page it goes to show that her dogs are her family! Do we just put our children down when they do something wrong? I feel so horrible for what happened to the other dog but, either we treat them all like dogs or we treat them all like family! Do we know if both or one of the pitts did this, do we know why? there are so many things that we just don't know! Why are we up here displaying her personnel information along with her families information! This is just wrong and I hope the person responsible for this has their IP Address run and gets sued!!!!

Well I think that there's lots of trash that drive super nice cars and live in expensive houses and have lots of money--trash is a mindset, not a socio-economic make up.
Even poor trash wishes they had money..they think money makes them better people...

The pix were posted on a public website...
If I were the pitbull's owners I'd be doing everything possible to help the situation out..as publicly as I could...

I am sorry this happened to the victims. I have heard that the dogs have been returned to their owners.

As for linking to the owner's myspace page - there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. If someone publishes their information online - it is there for everyone to see or link to.

If you have children, you should regularly check their site. 1. Make sure it is private. 2. Make sure there is nothing on there that could hurt them in the future. Universities and potential employers look for this information and use it to judge the character of that person. Online does not equal private. If you want private - write a diary and keep it in a safe place.

There are reports that these dogs were a problem when she lived in Nags Head too. Check out the newspaper report in this weekend's Coastland Times versus the victim's account in the full page ad that they took out. This is an awful, terrible situation. The Kent's side of the story is heartbreaking. The Owner's of the pit bulls cannot be reached for comment, imagine that!

I do not see the problem posting a link to the dog owners myspace page, if she does not want people to see it that she would not have one.

In looking at her page that is full of symbols of violence, it gives one the impression that her household has an air of violence in it.

Could we get the dogs sentenced to jail and they have to serve in the cell with Michael Vick?
