'Legal' opiate drugs can kill you - but teens and pre-teens take them at parties

"Skittles" parties aren't about candy. Rather, they refer to the colorfully varied prescription pills that teens grab by the handful from a bowl, then swallow - maybe with an alcohol chaser.

Oh come on people, this is obvious bullshit made up by opiophobics. A parent's nightmare. But it's clearly fiction.

This is a sad news. Blogs and other internet websites are really a help in various ways. For one, information dissemination and like this. You may also want to post about medical news and updates. Refer to http://www.depuyhipreplacementlawsuit.com

I am so tired of this yellow journalism about this made up pain pill 'epidemic.' It has no basis in fact and is just a ploy for dea thugs to continue to receive their bloated paychecks! There is no 'crisis' and there is no 'epidemic.'

You are VERY mistaken!! There is a huge opiate epidemic in this country right now! I live in east tn and I do not know one person whose life has not been affected by the overprescribing of "pain pills". If you are not an addict in this area, then someone in your family is. There are pills being sold on every single street corner and every other house. Maybe it isn't a problem in some areas but here it is truly an epidemic!

it's scary but they are very real. When I was in high school and for a little while after I'd been to several skittle parties. Those that wish to attend had to bring no less than 10 pills, and u had to have the bottle with a pill description so people didn't show up with something over the counter. Most common pills were pain Meds (norco, oxy...) or Valium and even Ritalin. They're dangerous, saw somebody almost die at one.

Legal highs are becoming a much bigger problem than most people think. Drugs like benzo fury and other "legal highs" are untested and can do some real damage. There is a great blog about her here http://www.lifeworkscommunity.com/news/blog-w...
