Sometimes I just want to give up and leave a world that just seems to get crueler and nastier and colder by the day. RIP, Mr. Waters.

We hear more and more stories just like this one where people go about thier daily routines or stop and watch while another human being is being attacked, robbed, raped and or killed. Here is your Christian Nation America. Here is your Nation of Hypocrites. God Bless America!

See but that is another issue. Maybe they want to help but you have to fear they will just shoot you or jump you when you intervene.

Hey now, hold up buddy. We have to assume that these Christians at least took the time to the time to notify the police.

More evidence of the lack of parenting that these ba**%^$# have had. These punks place no value on human life. mommy was probably a druggie and daddy was long gone before the ba&&*%$ was born.
No values = no conscience! They would kill for a dime!

Two issues here: the teens who killed the man and the passersby who didn't stop the beating.

I think people need to stop passing judgement on the people who did not get out of their cars. If you remember the article about the out of control father who beat his child to death in California, people did get out of their cars, but they were elderly and were unable to stop the beating. We have no idea what the physical make-up of these people were. Would haley feel comfortable getting out of her car if the guy was being beaten with a baseball bat? You cannot judge a person's actions just because you read an incomplete story.

I agree wholeheartedly. I read this story and thought "What would i do?" As a single woman I would probbaly not gotten out of the car, but reached for my cell phone to call 911. I would have tried to get details,(clothes, height, etc) to give the officers. As awful as this sounds, if someone had tried to intervene we may have had two deaths.

I would be willing to bet that the murderers weren't anyone religious. Sounds to me like you may be a Christaphobe as the pc police would say. The reason for most of the senseless killings (AIDS, etc.) is due to the anti-religious.

ZERO parental responsibility or accountability.
The cycle will continue - Parents were probably just kids when they had kids, NO education = NO birth control = NO parental skills = repeat cycle.

Somehow capital punishment such as an IV drip just doesn't seem so cruel and inhumane. If a person kills and is found guilty, they should be put to death in the same manner they killed. Clearly, the murderer did not consider it to be too cruel or unusual to kill another that way. I don't care if they are teens, there is no redemption.

Agreed. We can't have it both ways. The same country that celebrates a Supreme Court ruling giving everybody the right to carry a gun for "self defense" can't then turn around and complain when bystanders don't get involved in fights that don't involve them. Who wants to get shot?

I am not so angry that they did not get out of cars and help. I am angry that people would slow down to watch this happen. Call 911, Lay on your car horns, get others attentions. Yeah one person may not have done much, but a group of people could have prevented this! How do you people sleep at night knowing you could have stopped a man from being killed?
