They can marry.

The Lotus Corp. was the first organization I knew to give domestic partnership benefits only to same sex couple, while depriving the same benefits to unmarried, hetero couples. It made perfect sense decades ago. It does not...until federal marriage equality.

Then Lotus was bought by IBM and never heard from again.
