I admire the Swartz family as they fought the daily fight to see justice served. When I read what someone writes about the State Police being stupid or lazy I smile as I think..yea...go mess with them & see what happens. Its like stirring up a hornets nest...something is going to happen.
Its great seeing Eric where he belongs and I hope the VSP goes after the ones who assisted him. Its obvious its Allison Crawford and his wormy brother Jessie. She has been Eric ----- for many years.
I do get angry when I think about what Justice endured her last few hours on this earth. I saw Eric sitting at the defense table so coldly pouring himself a drink of water as he looked around....being so bold and cocky. Wonder if he can still pour the water while being so cool?

Agreed. Just thinking about those people makes me ill. None of them liked Justine and it seems like Abshire must have actually hated her to abuse her like he did. The poor girl was broken in pieces, her body shattered. She was tortured. I can only hope that when he strangled her she lost consciousness quickly.

I am glad the Swartz family has seen justice served. It won't make them forget, for they will NEVER forget, but a jury has seen that Justine got justice.

I, too, hope the VSP will pursue the perjury issue with more than just Mr. Abshire. I don't know whom they are, but I would pursue testimony previously given.....and then, someone in the community may talk. I'm sure there's enough people around here to contact the Swartz family with local gossip with the hope something will lead to those who helped Mr. Abshire. Also, they could also go through the list and see who to slap a civil suit on.

My blessings to the Swartz family.

It will only be a matter of time before who ever knows what happened or who assisted that fateful night will be caught. I agree with Equalizer76, Crawford/Abshire/Madison/Harlo w definitely knows something. What they know remains to be seen/heard. Birds a feather flock together!

I didn't know her, but she was a beautiful, intelligent young woman. Maybe we should remember her as Justine Swartz. I think it would be appropriate to drop the other last name.

I just want to say "thank you" to the Schwartz family for their gracious demeanor throughout their tragic ordeal and appreciation of what law enforcement was able to do to obtain justice for Justine. May her lovely, short life not have been in vain. God Bless the Schwartz family and all of those who fought so hard to give her peace.

Your family deserves the verdict decided upon by the jury. It won't bring Justine back, but it may prevent it from happening by his hands again.

Your family has handled yourself with grace. I am so sorry about the unfortunate things that have happened. It would only be fair that you inherit her life insurance and try to gain back some of the financial securities that you have lost in your fight to see justice served. Blessings to you and your family. It won't bring your lovely daughter back, but there is justification in knowing he is jailed for a long time.

I heard Emerald Hill Elementary in Culpeper, where Justine taught, has declared Nov 3 as "Kindness Day" in honor of Justine. Don't know what they're planning to do, but it might be a story you'd like to cover, channel 29.
