may be-but they keep Arkansas almost free from the recession..we are in a lot better shape than most states around us..if you don't agree--you need to get out more.

Who gives a F#%k, farmers are the biggest crybabbies in the world. No one makes them farm, if they don't like it sell out. They are the one's sitting around the coffee shop with new trucks, leaving them running, and taking about how bad things are.

Its obvious that you Have no f$cking clue what hard work is or what a REAL farmer goes through. Try getting out there and doing it for one day and you would be begging to go home and sit on your fat ass eating cheetos. Farming is one the most labor intensive jobs that anyone can ever endure. Most farmers borrow and pay back more money in one year than you would ever see in 10 years. So go ahead and hide behind your computer and talk all the shit you want. Who do you think is responsible for u being able to sit on your lazy ass and draw government benefits like food stamps. Why dont you put dont your chicken leg and think about that you stupid f*ck.

If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you can read this in English, thank a soldier.
If you can read this with Cheeto dust on your fingers, thank a farmer.

If you eat, you are involved in agriculture.

See what I mean...belly ache, belly ache, belly ache. My job is the hardest. I work harder and borrow more than anyone. Nobody cares. We all work hard. If you didn't want to be a farmer why did you get into it? Wait...let me guess...your daddy left you the land, the truck, the tractor, and the house. Yeah, you've had it hard. You inherited a better start than 99% of us lazy folks out here who eat cheetos all day. Now get out there and DO YOUR JOB and quit belly achin about it ! BTW...I made it WITHOUT daddy. Can you say that ?

It doesn't take a food shortage for grocery prices to go up.

Remember last summer?

Just the rumor of some threat to the crop will cause prices to rise. When that rumor is proven false, the price will stay up.

It's not the farmers' fault ... it is the greed of the grocer and the gullability/stupidity of the consumer (like Guest)

I just can't stand hearing people complain about their job. If you don't like what you do go get another job and stop the yakkin. You know what I mean? I respect a guy shoveling burgers at McDonalds, who tries to be the best burger man on the planet mor than I do a multi million dollar farmer who bitches about how hard his job is. I think you are a guy who just does his job and probably a good farmer. You don't waste time belly achin about how hard it is. You just DO IT !

sure ... but, you know, I live in a farming community, around farmers all the time, and I don't hear them bitching.

I hear a lot of non-farmers bitching (like you ... about these hypothetical bitching farmers,) but not the farmers.

So you saw a few old fellers with bibbed overalls on at the convenience store. Dude ... they are not farmers.

This stereotypical image of the American Farmer is a myth.

Do you even know a farmer?
Ever been on a farm?

I'm the 5th generation on our family's homesteads.

None of my children will farm.

Why would I set them up to be ridiculed.

Your attitude is what killed the small American Farmer.

thanks.
