this is one reason that I am very careful and ask many questions before I give or donate things to organizations such as this.Last year, the Salvation Army had wish list Christmas trees at Sam's Club lobby with cards on them of childrens' names and their Christmas "Santa" lists.I noticed that it was not there, this year.I don't know why, however.
I once had good friends who had foster children all of the time. You wouldn't believe some of the stories they had to tell about this state agency and the employees.

People talk about DHS workers all the time as if they are heros because they work at thankless, hard jobs for very little money. Many assume that they must be extremely dedicated to the children they are charged with protecting. The truth is that a large percentage of them signed deals with the state when they were in college agreeing to work for the state for x amount of time in order to receive state money to complete school. These people could care less about the kids and are only concerned about getting their time over with so they can get a good job. This story didn't surprise me at all.

This story is disheartening to me. To think that a person would go to the trouble to purchase the gift that was on the child's wish list and take it to be given to that child, and for the DHS worker to taken said gift and return it for the cash is totally unethical for any reason if you ask me. There should be none of that for any reason. Ever. The person or persons who did this should be dicharged from their duties immediately and an outside investigation should be done. There's no way that's not crooked. It's dirty dirty dirty.

This is an account of my experience, that will hopefully clarify, why I questioned if Craighead County foster children received the gifts that were purchased specifically for them by members of our community.

Is a relationship getting dull and predictable? If so, it's time to inject some spontaneity into it, preferably by doing things on the spur of the moment and taking a few risks. Maybe you should go out for a meal for a change. There could also be a surprise in store when you realize you're attracted to someone who's totally different from your usual type.
