I am trying to find out what other people's thoughts are about Christy Bradshaw Schmidt, MA, LPC, as well as your experiences with her related to a court ordered home study she performed. I have been less than pleased with her performance and abilities to say the least.

Chisty Bradshaw Schmidt is completely dishonest. She will certainly lie on the stand and in her report. She has no moral sense at all and she will knowingly turn children over to monsters.

Christy was recruited out of Dallas CPS by the family law firm Koons, Fuller, Van den Eycel to get the answer they always want. The most important thing you need to know about how she will decide a case is who the attorneys are. She makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year getting the answer certain attorneys want. She has a MA in Theology but she should ask for her money back because they clearly did not teach her ethics.

Most of the judges in Collin County know she is dishonest but they accept her decisions so they don't have to take responsibilty. They know this is wrong.

Christy Bradshaw likes to influence the law in Austin to make things work for her. She works closely with the Family Law Foundation whose goal it is to make it easier to attack custody so that the divorce lawyers make money. She is of that ilk. She helped pass a law which makes it so that social study workers are not liable for deliberately dishonest acts.

She should be in prison.

I am not surprised to find this discussion regarding Christy Bradshaw Schmidt. I have spent the last year writing about her dishonest and self-serving behavior at www.eoffian.wordpress.com .

I happen to know that a recording of one of her in home visits exists that is quite illustrative of her unethical methods. I also know she desperately does not want it to see the light of day. Ticking time bomb for her. LOL.

Schmidt will deliberately not look at information critical to an evaluation if the right attorney tells her not to but will not qualify her report because of that. She often has little support for her statements. She is a dangerous person.

She is bad news. It is particularly bad that she was a assigned to you in Roach's court. They mean to do a hatchet job on your relationship with your children. Christy has no conscious at all.

See if you can get out of this and if not, secretly record everything.

It is so hard to believe that this woman has so many negative posts against her. Also that she carries so much weight in the lives of so many.

Our son had the unfortunate luck to get her in deciding who his children would live with as the primary custodian. The details of the case is that his ex-wife had an affair for approx. 2 - 1/2 years (second in their marriage). He filed for divorce. In the meantime, he helped raise 3 children, one through infancy and potty training. His ex sues for more money. Along comes this Christy Bradshaw.

After a lengthy study (she promised September, but finally got around to it in December) she said the children would be better off with their mother. The study included massive harrassing e-mails on the ex-wife's part that were sent to his work calling him a deadbeat dad (he has had the same job for 24 years and has not missed any payments), including stalking his current girlfriend, threats, etc. etc. We know Ms. Schmidt had to have read these.

After the decision, our son had to move (rent) out of his house, into an apartment, because he now has to pay the max to the ex that Texas allows.

She married the guy she had the affair with. They both lose their jobs and the children have no health insurance for a couple of months. They did not tell anyone about this. They have had eviction notices, both owe massive amounts to collection agencies, etc. etc. I could go on and on.

My husband and I have thought of filing a grievance with the State of Texas against this woman, but not sure if it would do any good.

So this was a very good decision on Ms. Schmidt's part? You tell me!!!!

I am sorry to hear your son and grandchildren were victimized by that charlatan. I have personal experience with Christy Bradshaw Schnidt that sounds almost identical to your son's. I know several other parties who were also subjected to Ms. Schmidt's spurious "evaluation". The stories are all the same.

You should file a complaint, though I doubt it will ultimately do much. On the other hand, if enough people complain about her sham methods and bogus conclusions, perhaps someone will star to listen.

Did you file a grievance with the State of Texas? I find her practices unethical.

Can you elaborate on your experience with her? I believe she is unethical and works to serve the legal community, not the children.

I am researching this woman as a possibility for a home study for my family. Are there women out there who she said they should go to the dads? or does she ALWAYS side with mom? If so, even being the mom here - I don't want anyone who won't honestly look at my family and my children and determine THEIR best interest not mine or my husband's. It also looks like she's a pretty radical right wing conservative - we need someone much more liberal for our family due to circumstances we are dealing with but I want a fair assessment not a pile of crap. If I'm paying for it I want it to be useful!!

Here's an idea...don't trust one of these court whores to give a flying f--- about you, your husband or your kids. They are about themselves and their own personal agendas. Why don't you and your husband put aside your differences, figure out an appropriate plan, and put the social study money towards your kids' college educations?

I can assure you that her evaluation will do your family no good and probably a lot of bad. She will just make things up with the goal of pleasing a particular attorney.

I don't know anything about her politics but I respect your wish to do what is best for your children and children need a relationship with both parents. If that is what you wish, don't use her.

The attorneys will work hard to convince you to use people in the system so that they can create a fight and make a lot of money at the expense of your children.

Get a study from someone outside the system if you are really concerned about your children. The profession is divided into honest ones and crooks. The honest ones refuse to get involved with divorces because they know that certain attorneys will put put them out of business if they don't agree with them. Run from divorce case social workers such as Bradshaw.

If you go outside the system, you will receive enormous pressure but you will be a pioneer and you will have done a wonderful thing for your children.

Stay away from her. She is BAD news. She has no interest in the children or parents. She serves the legal community.
Work your differences out or find a third party that is not in bed with the courts or legal community.
DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING SHE SAYS. PERIOD.
She is bad news and only makes things worse for everyone and she increases your legal bills substantially by creating conflict and lies. Run away fast..........

"Freddie" Judge Roach is known for working like this. I make this suggestion... File a complaint with the judicial ethics commission. I will also email you privately
