Bonita Springs has about 1.5 million square feet of vacant commercial space and the city could do more to encourage business development, the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce told City Council on Wednesday.

I agree with the last comment, Plus if a Building is not being used, or is in a Bad Marketing Area where it would Not draw customers, it should be taken down.
Half or more of the Empty Business Buildings are not in a Good Marketable area or do not provide the parking folks want.
But in an effort to go green, Empty buildings should be rented/purchased first before any more Building takes Place.
