"But the president of the Florida Family Policy Council, John Stemberger (the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment’s official sponsor) said "marriage benefits society in unique ways that same-sex couples do not."

That doesn't even make any sense! What is wrong with these goofballs?

For comparison, I would like to know what aspiring celebrities who have changed their names have to do to get a driver's license in Florida under their new monikers.

For no reason other than hate.

And how does a marriage between a man and a woman or any individuals benefit society or anyone other than that married couple and their children?

The courts are going to rule that states cannot pick and choose which marriage they can choose to recognize, and which marriages they can choose not to. This obviously relates in chaos.

This is one of he reasons that FFC was put in the U.S. Constitution.

I know I have been criticized hre for this position numerous time,s but I still believe I am correct about this.

*shrug* Go to court and force them to do it. Mount case after case. Force them. They're not going to change, and their hatred is so unreal that they must disavow ANYTHING that lends the slightest legitimacy to these unions because they are operating under a paradigm that "GAY IS BAD," and thus must be "rejected" as if they're trying to stop the murder of infants.

Some of these states, I'm beginning to believe, need to see serious damage to their economies from lawsuits before they wise up. I don't even know if that's possible, hahaha, but I wouldn't be against it in any way whatsoever. If they're going to fight this stuff and the pro-gay take it to court, they can bankrupt themselves trying to defend their indefensible antigay views.

Apparently hell has frozen over, because I agree with you.

The Full Faith and Credit Clause as it applies to same sex marriage is currently being propped up, in part, by DOMA. Once DOMA falls, as it is bound to do, the FFC will become an even more effective tool in the battles over the legal recognition of SSMs and adoptions performed in other states.

You will quickly change the name to No Air, but by all means, go for it. We know you're just a bullshit artist.

An airline free of GLBTQ people? What's your next brilliant idea gonna be, spud head, a fine restaurant without chefs and waiters? A hospital without doctors and nurses?

From the reservations desks to the flight training centers to the control towers to the cockpits to the in-flight service crews, GLBTQ people practically control the airlines, you dolt. Passengers are gonna be pissed as hell when your planes never takeoff, airhead.

You foolishly and incorrectly assume that I am familiar with his past posts. I am sure he greatly appreciates you calling attention to him. Perhaps you should mind your own business ...?

Oh, I'm sorry. You've only been posting here for months. I didn't realize you were brain dead and didn't realize who that poster is.

It's true I mention the racist pedo - and encourage others to. What is unwise and unhelpful is to reply directly to it.

You obviously do NOT fly very often, do you, Cletus? Try boarding a plane without a gay employee dealing with your every move.

Unless you only fly Trans Tightass Airlines, a new airline for assholes and intolerant people. They don't have restrooms, for the passengers are so tight assed, they will NEVER use one. They don't have seat belts, for most fundies are so fat they wouldn't come out of their seat in a crash. Finally, they don't have oxygen or escape ramps or any of that for the true fundie will WELCOME a crash, for it gets him to Jesus's loving arms quicker. Sign up NOW, flights are all booked for red states everywhere.

I feel the same way. I'm tired of people saying that Article 4 Sec 1 & 2 have never been applied to marriage laws. It's about time it was.

I think all marriage equality cases should cite Article 4 as well as amendments 9 and 14. Heck they should even bring in Amendment 1 (religious freedom)
